You know Dirtybird for dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.

The fun family vibe of the Dirtybird label can be traced back to a free event started in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This new kind of house music went against the smooth vocal house that was popular at the time and derived its influences mostly from hip-hop, drum n bass, and American funk. The free outdoor BBQ party was very rough around the edges but eventually became legendary amongst the people of San Francisco. This event was also a very influential factor in the decision by Claude VonStroke to start the record label in 2005.

Today, Dirtybird has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has expanded into events and tour production. As it grows, the brand continues to expand beyond music into merchandise, licensing and artist management. In 2015, Dirtybird launched the inaugural Dirtybird Campout festival, which has been dubbed “Summer Camp For Adults”, and Dirtybird has been recognized from their achievements by being awarded "Underground Label of the Year" at the International Dance Music Awards, “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag, “Best North American Label” by DJ Mag, and Billboard’s "Top 5 Independent Dance Labels".

Sirus Hood Biography 

Sirus Hood is a French artist. Age 10, his love for House Music was at the time fed by his older friends, giving him mixtapes recorded in a legendary club in Algiers. Few years later, he moved to Paris, and started his DJ career age 18 when he purchased his first vinyl turntables.
He quickly became a regular DJ at every Parisian club.
The journey continues, as he started to become a self-taught producer, preparing his new project under the name that we know today: Sirus Hood.

After refusing to do social media when the project started, he insisted on building his audience purely through the music and word of mouth first. Once these foundations were built he opened his socials with an instantly huge response from the public. A testament to his following. 
His music is influenced widely from the 80-90s’ Chicago House movement from warehouse & loft parties to the whole Balearic sounds of Ibiza.

Sirus Hood first releases on CUFF including “Welcome To The Hood” EP in 2014 and Dirtybird including “Third Eye” EP in 2016 kickstarted his name. 
Sirus Hood also released on labels like Rawthentic, Cajual, Sola, Wow!, Under No Illusion.

In 2020, his release “Rip Tide” EP on Jamie Jones’ legendary label Hot Creations marked a major step forward to his career. 

Few weeks later, Sirus Hood launched ‘Mood Edits’ on Bandcamp with Manda Moor, a concept of limited series of edited tracks available during a month and then deleted to be replaced by new volumes. He had this idea after realizing that in a world where a lot of DJs or listeners are digging rare cuts, the biggest problem of music nowadays is that it is too available. ‘Mood Edits’ is repeatedly supported by the heavy weights of the scene like The Martinez Brothers and Loco Dice.

DJ residencies in Sankeys Ibiza, Eden Ibiza, Ministry Of Sound in London, Social Club then Showcase in Paris gave him a platform and opened doors to wider audiences all around the globe. From Europe to South America, from Australia to South Africa, Russia to North America, passing by the Middle East, his travel patterns underline his ability to work with different crowds and cultures while illustrating his cosmopolitan, universal side. To him - music is one language and unit.

When Sirus Hood isn’t on the road, he spends most of his time in his ‘laboratory’ like a scientist to his music. He satiates his hunger of knowledge through research of new sounds, with his impressive studio gear collection. He challenges himself on every new track with different recipes. In the end, his goal is to produce tracks that sound different from each other.

Today, his work is regularly supported by big names in house music like Jamie Jones, Nina Kraviz, Marco Carola, Paul Johnson, Claude VonStroke… He frequently appears in the charts.

Mat.Joe began as a project between Matthias and Johannes, two young men based in Berlin with a deep connection to music. Back in 2006, Rap, Breakdance and Skateboarding were the passions that kickstarted their friendship and this deep connection is reflected in their music. In 2008, they formed the producer team Twomanics and concentrated on authentic and credible hip hop productions for independent artists.
As of 2024, Matthias takes on his music career as an individual, carrying the legacy that Mat.Joe has built over the last decade. Over the years, Mat.Joe has developed their trademark sound of house beats paired with rhythmic soul and hip-hop elements. The result is deep and dancefloor-qualified, warm and rough. Inspiration is found everywhere between subway rides, late night showers and favorite bars - and new ideas are always on the way, evolving with the always-changing culture of dance music and growing with the artist.

“We ended up devising something we call ‘flips.” We’ll start with a produced song, and everyone has a philosophy for playing on top of the produced songs. Alvin has acoustic drums that he’ll play on top of it, and we also have drum triggers for electronic drum sounds so we can get a produced sound from the live kit. When I call a ‘flip’ everyone knows that I’m about to filter out the produced track. When the produced music disappears, the live musicians completely switch their sound to something that’s more electronic. Borahm will drop into a synth bass, Alvin will switch to an electronic kick and an electronic snare. It’s like a quick crossfade. It allows us to go from the produced track, with the band accentuating it, to a fully live band without losing something…It’s completely improvised but we’ve put a lot of time into making sure they know, stylistically, where the bounds are.”

Formed in Chicago in 2001, OL is the triad of Spencer Lokken, Bethany Lokken and Ben Silver. This versatile trio has rocked dance floors from Hawaii to Maine with their eclectic mixes, from sunset chill-out to bass-dropping e-funk, and an array of other futuristic sounds. Theirs is a democratic mission: to expose as many people as possible to the artists they admire and respect. What sets Orchard Lounge apart from other club DJs is that you won't always find them in the club. They've built a reputation as a relentless festival and touring act, often performing live shows with visual artists. Not to dismiss their roots, they've played alongside heavyweights like John Talabot, Matthew Dear, Gigamesh, Aeroplane, Bonobo, DJ Krush, Lindstrom, DJ T, Jamie Jones, Booka Shade, Metro Area, and Maya Jane Coles. They've also had the rare pleasure of performing for thousands at world famous venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheater, The Hammerstein Ballroom, and Pritzger Pavillion at Millennium Park.

When they're not in the DJ booth, you'll find this musically obsessed crew in the studio. Always looking to experiment with different sounds and studio techniques, what the fans can expect is a unique amalgamation of sounds, from heady ambient sleepers to four on the floor dance floor destroyers.  Despite their affinity for live music, OL's focus hasn't shifted since the group's inception: to provide sophisticated and stylish DJ sets that are appropriate in a variety of settings...
