So much talent from my part of the country (SW Louisiana, SE Texas) George Jones, Tracy Byrd, Mark Chesnutt, George Straight, Janis Joplin, Edgar Winters and the list goes on.  Tracy Lawrence sang with a Louisiana based band in 1988-1990.  He was shot 4 times by robbers in may 1991 which delayed his first album Sticks and Stones.  He was named top new male country vocalist in 1993.  He continues to create great music.  Just one of my favorite Tracy Lawrence songs.

Mr. Keb Mo   A style all his own.  For years I have enjoyed and loved his music.  I can relate to this song.  Nobody can do it like Keb, but I wanted to do a little version.

Quite some time ago, I made a quick “live” recording of this classic old Beatles song. It was just to serve as an example of how Nat & I might try doing a proper recording at some future time. But as Nat has so often managed to do, she added her beautiful harmonies and piano work and other production touches to make something out of it that we both now feel is well worthwhile. This song was written by John Lennon and released on the 1965 Beatles album “Help!”.

Boy did it hit home and sure fits with things today.  This is another song
that Mike (Lefty Mike) did a little magic and added bass, harp and his

Nat and I are both long-time fans of the great crooner, Roy Orbison. Like us, it seems he was a hopeless romantic, so we have contemplated this cover for some time. But it was a challenge to change it up from the classic original that Roy recorded back in 1961. Here we’ve given it a bit of a spin in several ways. Most notably you’ll hear us divide the song into two parts, the man who cries and the woman who goodbyes. Hopefully Roy would approve, but most importantly we hope you’ll enjoy this take on “Crying”. Nat wrote this beautiful song some time ago inspired by some of the greatest love stories of the world, including her own, and we have slowly worked on a properly produced final version where she will sing the lead. But inspired by the song myself, I decided to record my own simplified version just as a “Voice Memo” on my i-phone. Nat loved it and it hung around as we continued to look toward the piano based version with Nat’s lead vocal. But with Valentine’s Day nearly upon us and little time to make a major production effort, she decided to sing along to my rough, live recording and this is what we have to offer. The bigger version will follow but, for now, we wish all who aspire to love, a very Happy Valentine’s Day 2024!

In Memoriam and as a Lasting Tribute to the Late Great, Allen Bailey....Gone, but Never Forgotten. This is a wonderful Allen Bailey Original Tune that I just loved from the moment I first heard it. I sent some ideas for a Collab contribution to Allen, and he graciously re-recorded to allow me to better integrate my vocals, guitar, drums, etc... We liked how it sounded, and then Gabe Vanore of VanGabriel Production took this one to another level for us. Thanks, Allen and Gabe for pushing this one down the rails, and for letting me ride this rather magical train. I feel genuinely privileged to have been a contributor on this joyful project.
