Satin Sheets was a popular country hit song written by John Volinkaty and first recorded by Bill Anderson and Jan Howard on their March 1972 duet album, Bill & Jan or (Jan & Bill). It was then famously covered by American country music artist Jeanne Pruett in February 1973 as the first single and title track from her album of the same name. The song was Pruett's only Number One country hit, as well as her only chart entry on the Billboard Hot 100.
Nat & I were asked by Jerry Madden if we would collaborate on this classic cover and we were all too happy to do so. Jerry shows his tasty guitar playing throughout and we thank him for giving us the opportunity to join him here.

We've done another one since which is out on the 8th of April . Me , Gaz and Greg have a belter out on the 1st and Charlotte and I have 2 great numbers waiting in the wings . Jerry Reed- I have his autograph on my old Takemine that is just about faded out.  Jerry was just inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame this year.  Love this man and his music.  I have tried to play his claw type of fingerpicking, but it is so difficult and so many types of tuning.   I dropped my guitar down 1/2 step and played in drop D tuning.  The best I can do is to try and capture a little of his style

Tom Adams created this sparkly Country-Blues inspired Gem as an Open Collab offering. Crafted some lyrics, sang along, and then added a little Harp. Always amazed by Tom's Guitar Mastery, and he's created yet another superb tune here. Honored to contribute, and hopefully, lend something to it in some way? Another live interpretation of an old classic love song, this one was originally written by Jimmy Duncan and first recorded by the Sonny Land Trio back in 1957. But this caught most of our attention from the Bobby Helms recording later that same year. I’ve also been a big fan of the version released in 1968 by The Vogues. This started as a live recording that Nat once again brought to full life with her beautiful accompanying vocals and instrumental nuances.

This beautiful ballad was written by Michael Nesmith, probably best known as one of The Monkees, but remembered here as a solo artist. Sadly this was his only top 40 success though I feel he had other well written efforts. This is another one of our recordings that started with a raw live performance with some minor post-live enhancements.

Started with a few simple tracks - vocals, my Martin Acoustic, a little backing vocal, and some quiet harp texturing. Marc Elluse wrapped my tracks with his luscious guitar work and tweaked a mix that just blew my mind. I'm so very proud to be part of this project and cannot say enough about the creativity and skill Marc brought to make this a recognizable cover, but a totally unique one, as well. We didn't want a sub-par soundalike version of this Classic Rock masterpiece. MakaVox Sax (jazzy key synth) in the mix, as well. :D
