And now for something completely different, Nat & I finally dare to delve into some areas we have always loved but didn’t jump into along the way. Classic folk and country seems at our roots and hard to deny as we’ve created our own sound with Daniels & Durgy. But As we yearn to express our vast musical interests we endeavored to find some way to create something that brought our diverse influences into being. So we took one of my simple folksy concepts and Nat’s production talents for building an infectious mid-eastern dancehall tapestry. We crafted something that paints the dreamy fantasy of a hot afternoon, taking the dreamer away to far off sandscapes and soaring sounds. This was a blast to create and opens a door we’ll not let close. We hope you will also enjoy it, come fly with us...

Charlie and the Fox are back with a banger , and in the next few weeks we'll be releasing our 1st album , the only trouble is deciding which tracks to leave out ! Caravelli - 13 Days In France

In the 70's, a phenomenally gifted and beautiful young lady with a guitar, serious songwriting and vocal skills burst onto the scene. Melanie mesmerized Woodstock. She always possessed a special presence and most engaging vocal style. She spun a string of hits, but this one always especially resonated with me from the very first moment I heard it years ago. Different time, different place, but things haven't really changed all that much in the larger sense.......(sigh)! Anyway, my own creative interpretation of a tune made famous by the sensational and gifted, Melanie (Safka).  Melanie performed in the rain at Woodstock after she had become well known for her hit song, "Look What They've Done to My Song, Ma." When the rain stopped, members of the crowd lit candles to let other people know that everything was "bright" (OK). Melanie was so moved by the sight that she wrote this song to commemorate it, then asked the Edwin Hawkins Singers (#2 "Oh Happy Day") to back her up.

Remembering old friends and places with such great images.  This song
was written by Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen Jr,. while they attended
Texas A&M in the late 70's. It was released by Lyle in 1986.  What an American singer and songwriter.  A gem of a song

This Old Porch   (  cover - Lyle Lovett)

Started with a few simple tracks - vocals, my Martin Acoustic, a little backing vocal, and some quiet harp texturing. Marc Elluse wrapped my tracks with his luscious guitar work and tweaked a mix that just blew my mind. I'm so very proud to be part of this project and cannot say enough about the creativity and skill Marc brought to make this a recognizable cover, but a totally unique one, as well. We didn't want a sub-par soundalike version of this Classic Rock masterpiece. MakaVox Sax (jazzy key synth) in the mix, as well. :D

Oh boy, another one gone. Charley Pride. a sharecropper's son from
Mississippi (I can relate).  I remember listening to Charley while
picking cotton during my childhood.  Charley was the first black man
to become a major star in country music.  He won nearly every major award available to country musicians.  Three grammys, best male vocals,Entertainer of the Year, Country Music Hall of Fame and wow,
at least 30 No. 1 hits.  I died a little with his passing.  Just a humble tribute.  Love you Charley
