So much talent from my part of the country (SW Louisiana, SE Texas) George Jones, Tracy Byrd, Mark Chesnutt, George Straight, Janis Joplin, Edgar Winters and the list goes on.  Tracy Lawrence sang with a Louisiana based band in 1988-1990.  He was shot 4 times by robbers in may 1991 which delayed his first album Sticks and Stones.  He was named top new male country vocalist in 1993.  He continues to create great music.  Just one of my favorite Tracy Lawrence songs.

I was going through the Tony Harris collection and came across this little gem he'd written years ago , so I asked him if I could have a go at a complete revamp , he said yes and this is the result , I hope you like it as much as I do ! On the 22nd is a super song with Gaz and Nat , and on the 1st of September is my first outing with fantastic German orchestral composer Axel Menningen , I'm doing a duet with R and B singer Kim . Working on a new song with Axel and Charlotte at the moment , as usual it's all go ! Thank you so much for listening !

Well this one is different . I asked Andrea to send me some mythical lyrics , which she did , and I put a basic idea for a song together . When I sent it to Axel to have a play about with it he completely transformed it into what it is  now . With his instrumentation and production , and Andreas fantastic and inspired lyrics , this is ( hopefully ) a joy to listen to , enjoy ! Next up on the 1st of November is a moody blues/rock song by Dave Cooper and myself , closely followed by 2 songs by myself . Another one of those amazing Traditional songs where the original songwriter is unknown. Kurt Cobain resurrected it when he did an MTV Unplugged version. He was a huge fan of Leadbelly, who also recorded and performed various versions of it. The legendary Bill Monroe also covered it, among others. The song has been referred to often as "In The Pines" or "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" and sometimes referenced using both in the Title. This version features an AcoustaTronic approach and I revised the lyrics based on a number of different versions of the song in a way that made the most sense to me, personally. Also, finally figured out another opportunity to use my Native American Bamboo Kiowa Flute in the background......just because I've been trying to find a way to integrate it into one of these tunes in some way.
