Songster version was a little ‘copla’ about not being able to be with, nor without, a loved person.  As usual, I’ve ‘upgraded’ it, process from which you only get the final result, normally. 

But, following lyrics’ contradictions, I not only serve parts with different levels of (dis)order in heavy rock - flamenco sauce, but raw vs very cooked parts as well, starting with the improvised phone recording of the very first idea I had to develop the song, so please excuse my failures and noises.

Tough one here.  In recent years, I have lost many family members and so many friend.  The deepest cut was the lost of my beautiful 31 year old daughter a few years ago this month. Thanks everyone for listening and supporting and all you smiles, laughter, head bobs, swaying, toe tapping, and finger snapping. I appreciate it all! I am glad we are all still here after all these years and SC scares and alternate site distractions. 

This is another track I made many years ago. I made it audio bin style by rearranging baselines and guitar parts from old stems from Blankets. If my recollection is correct, I might have reused parts of “Falling Off (The Precipice),” which is currently set on private. It has been sitting on my hard drive asking to be released but I have been telling it no, you need to be patient and wait. Once I finally felt I could release it, it sounded old to me, lol. So Wou-Wou and Wizardshoes / AKA Ill Dub came to the rescue. They resuscitated it, fed it good food, and dressed it up real nice, and now it is ready to go!

Recorded by stars like Barbara Streisand, Olivia Newton-John, Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash and many others.  So much meaning in these lyrics.  I had a simple, slower track I had recorded awhile back and asked Mark Mayes if he would give it his vocals.  WOW, what a perfect voice for this tune.  Terrific !  Thank you Mark
