Joshua L. Schmidt is a Detroit-based artist known for blending soulful acoustic storytelling and gritty rock power into a frequency-rich sound that uplifts, heals, and awakens. Drawing from the roots of Tom Petty and Led Zeppelin, and merging the introspective depth of Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains, Joshua creates music that’s both timeless and vibrationally attuned.

All of his solo work is recorded in 432 Hz, a tuning believed to promote harmony and inner balance—something listeners often feel instantly when they hear his voice.

A Grammy-nominated vocalist and dynamic live performer, Joshua is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for Sonic Sovereign, one of Detroit’s most versatile rock bands. He is also the creative force behind Schmidt and Sophia, a spiritually-driven music project that promotes healing frequencies, and energetic codes through song, anchoring what he calls The Liberation Code—a collection of 144 transmissions meant to activate consciousness.
