A marvellous piece of makossa from 1988. Charlotte Mbango's amazing vocals carry the track along with hypnotic guitar riffs, baselines and euphoric horns. Some sections have been cut as they wander into happy soukous territory, whereas this track shines best when it's deep and bittersweet in my opinion. Hope you enjoy!

An avid lover of soulful, sun-filled dance music from around the world, JOSH FB’s eclectic sets are sizzling with energy as he aims to heat up dance floors and make people smile while they move.

Hey music friends! how many of you know after a long season playing around Mexico I’m now focusing my music career outside Mexico and my home country Costa Rica and to celebrate my forthcoming Europe and Asia DJ tours in the next months I decided to publish this two hour(ish) promotional mix available for free download including obscure peak-time discofied stuff by myself, also from some released Nocturnal Hazard artists such as Eladp, Jonny Rock and more “secret” dancefloor weapons trying to condense the vibe of my balearic discofied all night long DJ sets into two hours of non-stop music focusing slightly more this mix on disco stuff in some of its varied shades, all killers no fillers! Next up in the Mr Bongo Record Club mix series we invited Norwich-based DJ collective and party purveyors Soul Stew to give us a taste of what they're all about. Firmly rooted in the city's scene for over 9 years, they've been throwing some of the finest parties Norwich has to offer. Alongside championing local talent they’ve also hosted a real range of some of the top international selectors from far and wide, including Sassy J, Volcov, Mark Grusane, Sadar Bahar, Floating Points, Ash Lauryn and Ge-ology to name only a handful.&nbsp;

As a DJ duo Bill and Jack are a real joy to see behind the decks. Effortless blends of unforgiving, unquantized disco, boogie, house, techno and beyond. Their style, skill and passion led to them being signed to Sounds Familiar earlier this year and has seen them play at Fabric, KOKO, Pickle Factory, We Out Here, Lost Village, Field Maneuvers and many more great dancefloors.

This version brings a slightly more instrumental oriented feel and a modern dynamic, carefully shaped for today’s dancefloors, while keeping the spirit of the original alive.

Record loving selector DJ based in London (and formerly Edinburgh). I love sticking my head in crates and learning more about the amazing music that can be found across the world. 

I'm a bit of retro zouk specialist (checkout my zouk show on My Analog Journal for more) but also have a great interest in soca, highlife, makossa, PALOP music, bubblegum, kwaito, latin freestyle and beyond - I enjoy celebrating globally sourced groovy records to fill dancefloors, and deliver an experience that makes club goers smile while they move

My mission is to spread this wonderful music and the talented artists that contributed to its creation with as many as people as possible! 

I run a clubnight and reissue / edits label along with a few friends called “Discothèque Tropicale”. Music to bring the boogie, fill the floors and put smiles on faces! 

I do the programming for London based radio station LOOSE FM where I also run the radio shows ‘The Listening Bar’ & 'Musical Backpacking' focussing each show and the record digging on a specific genre, theme or area.
