Biography

Noise Zoo is Thomas Jacobsen and Richard Gjerdin. Just cubs when they discovered the wonder of music, both artists have risen to prominence within the industry.

Thomas Jacobsen has created an impressive legacy under his alias, Jaco. Released on the likes of Black Hole Recordings, Enhanced and Euphonic, Jaco has been honoured with support by the big cats, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Tritonal, Cosmic Gate and many more.

Richard Gjerdin has produced a rousing body of work under his alias, Proglifter. His tracks appear on the likes of Enhanced and Progressive House Worldwide. Richard has also been humbled by support from Paul van Dyk, Above & Beyond, Andy Moor and M.I.K.E.

The two artists have come together with a common purpose; to create a soundscape habitat where all creatures, great and small, can immerse themselves in music. As the duo opens the gates on their production together audiences can’t wait to take a trip to Noise Zoo!

Biography
Polygasm are an all-singing, all-partying 4-piece rock band from inner Melbourne. Shunning the “too cool for school” rock thing, Polygasm are high energy, impossible to ignore, seasoned party-good-time performers and talented musicians to boot. Rock'n'roll antics, catchy melodies and stunningly delivered harmonies make for a smiling, singing and booty-shaking crowd.

Formed in 2010, the band met while studying a more serious side of music at NMIT, Fairfield. Sure, the technical features of jazz are interesting, but to Aaron, Shanti, Simon and Ralph, plugging it in, turning it up, and smashing it out was a far more exciting prospect. And so they did. Rock’n’roll is supposed to be fun. And fun it is with Polygasm.

Although all multi-instrumentalists, the line up comprises of “The Golden Tonsils” (Aaron Schultz – vocals), “The Noise Maker” (Simon Barlow – guitar), “The Lovely Lady of the Bottom End” (Shanti Amelia – bass) and “The Beats and Brawn” (Ralph Nottingham – drums). Combined with 4-part singing, it makes for an eclectic AC/DC meets B52's vibe. Throw in a decent dose of silliness and humour and you get a Polygasm show.

Polygasm members draw together their diversity of experience in the music scene. Shanti performs as a solo artist and drums with all-girl marching band The Red Brigade. Ralph has spent half a lifetime drumming his way through the Melbourne rock scene and moonlights as a jazz drummer on weeknights. Simon plays in noise-rock act Silence Dead Silence and has for the past decade written and performed for the Melbourne Comedy Festival. Aaron is a closet-crooner and hopes eventually to retire to Vegas to front a 25-piece swing band.

They all sing, they all rock, and they all have a good time doing it. Polygasm. They'll have you coming back again and again.

During this time he has had multiple collaborative producers groups, performed around the globe, shared countless Ecstatic Dance and Festival Sets, Co-developed Motiv Music, his music production business and Ecstatic Dance Melbourne.
 
His artist intention is to create transformative music that empowers, moves emotion and creates connection. His multicultural indigenous influences and diverse electronic music genres take the listener on a journey throughout planetary cultures and beyond.
 
To create this, Temple Step collaborates with sacred world musicians, vocalists and neo shamans from around the globe including Ape Chimba, Deya Dova, Desert Dwellers, Kalya Scintilla, Nessi Gomes, Darpan, Tahir Qawwal, Peruquois, Dysphemic, Ganga Giri, Murray Kyle, Kaliash Kokopelli, Raio, and Joony Joon.
