A leading light at the forefront of the new wave of British house music, northern star Richy Ahmed returns to his home label Hot Creations with a monumental two-track release entitled ‘So Good’.

Richy Ahmed has been riding at breaking speed since his debut EP ‘The Drums’ dropped on Hot Creations in 2013, crowned as Pete Tong’s ‘Essential New Tune’ and receiving a wealth of support worldwide. The following year he followed up with his ‘Sneaky Acid’ EP as the 50th release on Hot Creations and made his Radio 1 ‘Essential Mix’ debut. Since then he has spread his wings producing releases for the likes of Circus and Strictly Rhythm and remixes for Hotflush, Suara and Truesoul to name a few. The talented producer is now back on Hot Creations and about to drop one of his best to date.

His first release for 2016, it features two house jams both with a different style. 'So Good' is a perfect summer groover and. 'Ruff N Raw', as the name describes, is quite a tough house banger. Both have been causing serious damage!
Aside from producing, Richy is an integral member of the Hot Creations crew, acting as both A&R and being one of the main residents and curators of the line ups for Paradise at DC10. He also enjoys an extensive touring schedule playing all over the world at hotspots such as Panorama Bar and fabric. Now in 2016, there are no signs of slowing down with the launch of his 'FourThirtyTwo' branded parties that see him playing all night to small intimate crowds. Richy also plans to launch his record label later in the year under the same brand.

Kicking off what’s set to be a huge year for him as an artist, Franky Rizardo’s ‘Same Man’ sets the tone for an upcoming year of new material. Somehow achieving the improbable and balancing his touring with consistently strong productions, plus his own Flow radio show and parties, Franky returns to Defected to take things up yet another level in 2017. 

Sampling a 1983 rare groove track ‘For The Same Man’ by B Beat Girls, Franky’s version is all about the groove-laden house beat, designed for building up the dancefloor before that unmistakeable and catchy-as-hell vocal hook drops just shy of the track’s midway point. ‘Same Man’ is destined for dancefloor destruction and has become the most sought after record in Franky’s sets.

Ray Mono is one of the fastest rising names in the game and now he keeps the pressure on with another vital EP, this time on Darius Syrossian's essential Moxy Muzik. It features two of his powerful grooves and kick starts what is set to be a huge year for the artist, while remixers, Seb Zito from fuse and the highly talented Brandub from Argentina complete a fine package. 

Syrossian has long been a supporter of Mono, who is someone with a meticulous sound in the studio and plenty of high profile releases behind him on the likes of No Fit State, Pleasure Zone and WHAT NXT? His warm bass, subtle percussion and tripped out grooves are inspired by years as a resident and promoter of legendary Leeds party Mono_Cult and his ever evolving sound comes correct once more here as he continues to get booked around Europe at all the key clubs. 

Excellent opener 'Initiated' is a driving track with a physical impact from the well programmed drums and knotted bass. 
'Esperanza' became a huge summer anthem for Darius Syrossian at his Amnesia Ibiza residency last summer, so much so, that he was inboxed repeatedly on social media with track id requests of this particular track, with DJs from across the spectrums of house & minimal requesting a copy upfront! This track is a more playful anthem in the making, with classic vocal samples over the slick and sci-fi beats. The slippery metallic perc and icy drums all get deep under your skin and the well treated vocals are set to make huge impact in the sun this summer. 

Celebrated Fuse associate Seb Zito then remixes with his stylish dubbed out grooves, taught bass twangs and punchy drum work.

Argentina's Brandub delivers a fantastic remix, with deep bubbling bass & razor sharp kick drums that flow until a short break which features beautiful deep lush chords and pads. This remix blew Space Miami apart during Darius Syrossian's set for Paradise during Miami Music Week.

One again then Ray Mono pushes forwards here with another of his devastating new EPs.
