“Autumn Day” is a song adapted from Rainer Maria Rilke’s 1902 poem. The lyrics speak of change, endings, and the quiet rituals of solitude: staying awake, reading, writing long letters. Rilke’s timeless images of the fading summer, ripening fruit, and falling leaves are carried into song, creating a reflection on transition and the passage of time. It is both intimate and universal – a meditation set to music.
