It all began in 2010 when Tek-One (AKA Howard Newman) combined his love of 'circuit-bending' (rewiring children's toys and other small home electronics in order to turn them into musical instruments) with his passion for dark electronic music. 

It wasn't long before Tek-One's unique sound was picked up by H.E.N.C.H. After considerable success with first release 'Broken String' (which topped the Beatport, Juno Recommends charts, amassed several million plays on YouTube) he raised the bar and crossed over to the metal crowd. A ground-breaking remix of Bring Me The Horizon's 'Sleep With One Eye Open' for their album 'Cut Up' lead Rock Sound to describe it as 'the stand out moment of the record'. 

Fast forward to today and Tek-One's feature-length, debut album is poised to drop. Collaborations with metal icons Bury Tomorrow and Heart Of A Coward, rapper Illaman and Shiny Toy Gun's own Sisely Treasure, to name but a few, have already had journalist's mouths watering across the board. Signed, sealed and scheduled for release on H.E.N.C.H Tek-One look set to further make waves and break boundaries as one of the most exciting acts in electronic music.
