Siv Anderson aka ‘Siv Disa’, the New York City based singer, multi-instrumentalist and artist is to release her digital single and arthouse video, ‘moths’ on November 15. The single was produced by fellow New Yorker ‘Sam and the Sea’, and the accompanying video was directed by Siv with videography and photography direction from Evan Alexander Moore & Sanchez Murray. The cover art was created by Siv Disa, an edited still taken from the music video and sketched on.

MOTHS: “You see these impossibly large moths trapped in big streetlamps, flying inside them and hitting the glass again and again, dead at the bottom and you can’t figure out how they’re getting in. They must have gotten in when they were small enough to fit, and then grown too large to escape. The amount of time they spend on the wrong side of the glass. It seems so unnecessary from the outside. A whole life spent looking out at the world.”

I don’t think people can see moths or what they’re trapped in. I don’t think I can either. 11 - If I Ever Get Back Home (Children As Ghosts Pt. 2)

This is the demo of a song I've been writing for the past 3 months. This song could likely make it to my next EP, 'Eclispe.'  I wrote this song as a tribute to healing my inner strife. Since then I have played as a ritual to the lost black souls of the French Quarter of New Orleans to qwell their anger, sadness, and angst. I am uploading it on Halloween to offer those that play it on this day protection from angry spirits.
