Based in Bristol, Admin is a seasoned producer and DJ who has released music on labels including Futureboogie, Kolour LTD and Omena Records. One of my highlights was his self-released beauty of a 45 ‘Step Into Light / Reflect + Heal’ which was released last year with support from DJ’s, Luke Una, Moxie and Mafalda.

Founder of the label and party crew Community Disc-O’s Admin is a resident at Bristol’s Crofter’s Rights. His parties have welcomed DJs including Mike Shawe, Frederika & Yadava . Admin is a regular on the Bristol scene and has played clubs across the UK alongside the likes Andres, Moxie, Tone B Nimble & Nightmares on Wax.

For Guest Mix 013, he’s delivered a killer mix of underground disco, latin and funk which I’m sure you’re gonna love!

With his ears drawn to the more obscure soulful sounds of the late 70’s to early 80’s, the Paris-based collector weaves together an hour of recent finds alongside some go to picks from the shelves. Bouncing through a range of tempos, this one gives a lift at anytime of the day.

MM Cast 15: Statues

We started following Statues since we discovered this little gem that is "River Darkness" included in the mighty compilation done by "Claremont 56" for his Ten Anniversary. From that moment on we've always had an ear under every release or mix that comes from Statues Collective.

We welcome the autumn season by trying to make this summer a lil longer, bringing summer beats downtempo styled from the hands of Statues, who delivers a nice appetizer of what it could be a late afternoon at iconic Ibiza Pikes.

Fronted by Bradley Lucke and Mark Crooks; they joined a large range of artists like Grant  Carruthers and Laura Maidment; Statues has gained a well deserved place on the scene delivering excellent works that have find a place on Eclectics. Is it Balearic? and the mentioned Claremont 56; and being remixed by some MM Discos favourites like Coyote, Gold Suite or The Vendtetta Suit among many others.

Expect much more action coming from Bradley's studio to MM Discos, starting with an outstanding remix coming up next month and a forthcoming EP by the end of the year. It's time for Statues here at MM Discos babe.

Episode 14 of my residency on Radio Sofa 🥁 

An eclectic selection consisting of well-kept secrets as well as timeless classics is what Waxist strives to bring in his sets. Record collector & dj based in Lyon, he started his love story with vinyl as a teenager. At the beginning exploring Jamaican reggae and Caribbean sounds but then extending his interests to more dancefloor orientated music genres from Disco, Modern Soul and a touch of House when needed. Waxist understands the crowd and brings a variety of soulful sounds, from classic boogie to rare balearic records.

Waxist pushes for coherency in his selection and his technique, inviting the crowds to dance through Boogie, Soul, even via Caribbean and Brazilian sounds. His love of varying genres has led Waxist to collaborate with various labels for reissue projects and edits like with Red Stripe Disco, Favorite Recordings and taking a lead role at SOL DISCOS for A&R. He's worked closely with Le Mellotron for his long-standing radio series Serendipity Music since 2012. His diverse mixes and deep special selections have been noted by esteemed platforms Wax Poetics and Radio Nova.

This mix was recorded live at the Zoo club in Geneva at the DELIGHT party with Clementine and Mahmood!
