Where We Going is a chill electronic track built around cassette recordings my dad made in 1980—just everyday moments from our home when I was 3 years old. I sampled those voices—mine, my parents’, and a family friend’s—and layered them with warm analog synths to create a nostalgic, lo-fi-inspired soundscape. It’s intimate and pensive, with a child-like innocence—like flipping through an old photo album with a synth soundtrack. It’s a piece about memory, childhood, and the texture of lost time.
