Jonny Boy Live @ Feel Groove Radio 01-03-25, Born in NYC, growing up outside of Chicago, Jonny was influenced from the music scene in both great cities. 25 and living in West England Jonny Boi would meet local DJ’s throwing free parties in the fields of England, and from there he fell in love with the sound. After a year of DJ’ing in England, where he and friends started a DJ Crew called BROOKLYN TREEZ. From 96’ to 2002 we played all over NY for a while. Stepping away from the scene and taking a hiatus Jonny eventually moved down to St. Petersburg, FL and found the incredible underground music scene here and in Tampa, which revived his love of music and DJ’ing. Cleaning off his pair of Technics MK2’s and his records, Jonny Boi went to work and his efforts and contribution to the scene go to show why he is supported by the following.

Going beyond any concept of retrofuturism, this mix is an exercise in tonal timelessness and rhythmic resilience. Here in this episode he presents us with the same relentless energetic groove that makes his presence in our multiverses so perennial and unique, the one we strive to convey from the beginning to the end, wherever or whenever it may be.
