Booka Shade open the New Year on home imprint Blaufield Music as they deliver their latest EP ‘Dear Future Self’ alongside spoken word artist and poet Lazarusman.

As we enter the start of another decade, German producers, live act and label bosses Booka Shade continue remain at the forefront of the melodic house and techno landscape, armed with their ever-evolving live set up, releases via legendary labels including John Digweed’s Bedrock, Suara and their own blossoming Blaufield Music, and stand- out performances at the likes of Amsterdam Dance Event, Brunch In The City, and Boiler Room’s very first Warehouse event in the Middle East at The Grid, Dubai. Having spent the closing half of 2019 at work in the studio and on the road to shape and curate a variety of musical projects, January welcomes the first in a series releases as the duo deliver a medley of original cuts in the form of their ‘Dear Future Self EP’, including a collaboration with South African artist Lazarusman, dropping ahead of a yet to be announced project on the label in the year ahead.

Hypnotic and warping from the off, ‘Dear Future Self’ balances wandering, off-kilter lead synths with refined percussion and Lazarusman’s ever-mesmerising lyrics, with the ‘Club Mix’ mix laying the focus on acid-tinged leads whilst the ‘Extended Mix’ harnesses deeper, soaring textures. Second original ‘Atlantic Beam’ engages rolling, organic percussion amongst sweeping melodies and blossoming stabs to reveal a rich journey through builds and breaks, offering an impressive first glimpse into a much bigger project still yet to come... stay tuned.

Chus & Ceballos, owners of the label, sign a bomb remix by the Spanish artist Imanol Molina that will be released on the 23rd of January. 

A new year, a new decade, full of new and exciting electronic music possibilities. That’s how Stereo Productions see it. Chus & Ceballos’ label kick off the year with the release “Ignition”, an interesting EP by the Spanish artist Imanol Molina that includes a remix by the duo. 

The EP begins with Chus & Ceballos’ remix who have given their personal touch to the original track which is  full of darkness and intensity. The duo are currently immersed in their hectic Stereo 2020 tour that celebrates the label’s 20th anniversary, taken them all over the  world. They started the year touring Latin America and now they’re getting ready  to travel to North America with gigs  in Canada. On top of that,  Chus & Ceballos will be crossing the Atlantic Ocean again in March for  Winter Music Conference in Miami and are also celebrating Oscar L’s remix of “All I Want” that has reached number 2 on the Progressive House chart  on Beatport. 

Imanol Molina is the owner of an attractive sound palette full of color, fun and dynamism that harmonizes perfectly with his elegant and responsible style. There isn’t a dance floor capable of resisting this balanced combination of elements that results in a very enjoyable electronic sound. “Ignition” is proof of this , an original track in which the bass line and the rhythm are pure gold. Through a very interesting superposition of layers, Molina adds elements that allow him to introduce different  variations whilst  maintaining the rhythm. The vocals also deserve a special mention, as their  presence and prominence grow during the development. The producer also created a  Dub Mix version in which the vocals cede prominence to an omnipresent rhythm, giving it a more tech-house feel. 

“Ignition” will be available on Stereo Productions from the 23rd of January.

Joshua Grey was merely sixteen when he started his DJ career. What began as pastime, turned into a profession nine years later, with Joshua beginning to work as a full-time resident DJ in Graz. Famous discos and clubs, such as iClub, Take Five, Bollwerk, Empire Club, Nachtschicht, Beluga, Remembar, Novembar, to only name a few, booked him for gigs throughout Austria. His engagements not only took him to Kursalon Huebner (Vienna), Club Zimmermann (Vienna), Fête Blanche (Velden), Tempel Club (Linz), but also to Switzerland, Italy, and Hungary. It was those countless national and international performances that led him to choose 'house music' as his prefered style.

Joshua has collaborated with House Stars like Fedde Le Grand, Bob Sinclair, Tom Novy, Milk & Sugar, Denis The Menace, Jerry Ropero, Emma Lanford, Terri B., Tara McDonald, The Disco Boys, Sarah Main, DJ Pippi, Phats & Small, Benny Benassi, DJ Antoine, Mad Mark, Jonathan Ullysses, ATB, Woody van Eyden, Tomcraft, Mr. Mike, Sergio Flores, and Gordon Edge, amongst others, who all proved greatly inspirational.
This varied experience contributed to kindling Joshua's very unique sound—a sound that is hard to describe…but needs to be heard! 
"While house music covers a broad spectrum, Joshua Grey truly understands how to get party people into the right mood for dancing and celebrating," states one of his oldest friends.
Essentially, it is the ideal blend of 'old school' and 'cutting edge' as well as 'commercial' and 'underground'—the success lies in the mix!

J.G.'s distinctive style is strongly influenced by labels such as Subliminal, Defected, Hed Kandi & Fierce Angels, as well as by vocal house from Bella Italia, mixed with funky grooves. Simply unique. Simply Joshua Grey. You just have to love it!

Later, Bernie-X, musician and producer, became part of Joshua's DJ-way of life. Together, they began running their own music studio and have been working on various remixes and own music productions ever since.

Their first release ('Naked In The Rain)', which they had worked on together with vocal house diva Terri Bjerre, immediately made it onto more than 30 compilations worldwide, for example that of renowned Fierce Angel.
They also reached #3 on the US DMC Charts, #5 worldwide, as well as entering various playlists, like, for instance, one by Roger Sanchez.
The following releases ('Need This Rhythm' and 'Rue D'Électrique') have also been hypnotizing clubs around the globe.

Meanwhile, they have launched their own label Jo:BeB Productions, released their first two singles 'Leave Your Light On' and 'Funk Me', while also starting a collaboration with The Voice Of House Himself: Roland Clark.
End of 2k14 he released the former bootleg "Beth - Don´t You Worry Child (Joshua Grey Remix)" as an official track on the famous Mark Doyle Fierce Angel Compilation III with great reactions worldwide. Moreover he started a great remix project for Mark.
