With his signature pristine sounds and amazing song writing Dark Vektor is hailed as one of the best and most influential electro producers of our time. 8 a more slow/mid tempo release is a emotional trip that still keeps the essence of funk that Dark Vektor is known for. Two masterful tracks accompanied by a blinding remix of 8 by U.K Mastermind and future legend R21. With a robotic feel and beautiful synthesizing R21's remix closes out the e.p like only he could.

Coldwave / darkwave debut album by San Fransisco based producer Gabriel Ramos.

While the band has gone through a few lineup changes Ssleeping Desiress has essentially remained the brainchild of Gabriel Ramos, who is now the sole member. Ssleeping Desiress is certainly a gem in the electronic underground, the album runs along the boundaries between minimal synth, coldwave, and electro with lyrical themes being gentrification, coping with death, artistic drive and confusion and the ephemeral nature of relationships.

The only Ssleeping Desiress release so far was the great A Voice / Sister 7inch on the FlexiWave label in 2012. They also appeared on numerous new new wave compilations in the last couple of years. The self-titled album presented here takes the project to the next level. Kicking off with an echoing voice over repetitive drums and outbursts of synths & guitars, slowly moving towards a more darkwave sound on the second half of the album.

Gabriel Ramon started making solo recordings while living in Portland, Oregon around 2005. Being inspired by the culminating factors of the DIY drive of the city, hosting live shows at his house, which frequently would host friends' bands from San Francisco and his growing fascination and voracious consumption of music: "I can really trace it to the first time Spector Protector played at my house and getting a tape afterwards from one of the two members, Eric Davis. That and being freshly exposed to groups like Suicide and Arthur Russell was very inspirational to begin recording music on my own, though it is something I had done fairly aimlessly since high school. I make an effort and try and change my process as much as I can (usually through collaboration) and vary the instrumentation. I try and incorporate a late 70s punk vibe, a marriage of dub and krautrock repetition and cavernous space. Definitely not always successful but that is what is usually running through my head when I create music for this band."

старые комм (loosely translated as Old Komm) are Andrey Kolmogorov and Sergey Gorsky, a musical duo hailing from the city of Samara, Russia. 
Since meeting in the mid 90's the duo started translating their musical ideas by making industrial music using a mixture of field recordings, broken synths, found sound and, what became a constant motif on their output, church pipe organs - Sergey's father was a church organist of 40 years giving the duo plenty of material to tamper with. 
Isolated from any western influence and attention, the duo released a handful of extremely limited K7s. The results were unique slabs of industrial music with strong nods to primitive techno, sound design and noise music. For lack of an audience as well as poor distribution the tapes were mostly handed out to friends and family until one reached the 'discrepant' radar a couple of years back. 
Today, Discrepant presents an exclusive EP of their first work in years, constructed around the sounds recorded on the ex-USSR Baltic port city of Ventspils, Latvia. 

Pressed on 250 vinyl only editions packed in luscious printed outer & inners with photography by Sergey Gorsky.
