This one's quite different from my usual stuff. This is a very special tune for me. Not only is it a remix of the piece of music written by Hans Zimmer that inspired my favourite film of all time - Interstellar, but it is also the tune I was up all night making the night a dear friend of mine died. He taught me how to sample music creatively, something I never understood until I met him. I hope this remix makes you feel at least a fraction of how it makes me feel. This one is special to me because it was the first tune I could call "finished" since I took a year out of producing and experienced well let's just say a lot... This was me getting back to a comfortable level with producing and with myself, while staying at my friend Paolo's making tunes well into the early hours. It's one of those tunes that takes an unexpected turn while writing and turns into something very different from what was expected at first, but that's how the best art is made, right?

I made this back in 2018, as part of a college project in which I recorded samples around the local park and turned them into a drum beat. Processed and layered up with a synthesized kick the track evolved and grew around the found percussion sounds. This has been hanging around on my computer for a while waiting to be released and now seems like an appropriate time given the current state of the world.

Thanks to Cameron Burr for playing guitar on this piece.

I made this tune sampling a video by Zi De Guqin Studio.

When I heard the original piece, my mind instantly wrote an entire track around the beautiful melodies. The next day when I woke up, I started working on it. That was yesterday, and today, I finished it. This is the result.

I hope doing this is okay. I hope this can touch you as it has touched me.

I made this by resampling the master of my tune Tapestry. All sounds are made from Tapestry, and all but one of the sounds are made from purely the master track. There is one sound which I resampled the vocal stem as I needed a clear single tone and not a chord.

Had so much fun making this, learning loads about production as well as redefining what music actually is for me. One of the most valuable lessons here for me is that you can make anything work if you run with the idea for long enough. Mistakes are only made when you deem them as such.
