Real, raw techno on Vol. 3 of SOMA NEU

Soma continue the SOMA NEU series as Vol 3 follows in Soma's founding ethos of quality electronic music. Each part of the series is meticulously curated and aims to direct the uncompromising vision of the label, directly to the dance floor. Featuring a lineup of modern and emerging artists, SOMA NEU pays homage to the roots and raw energy of authentic techno and demonstrates its ongoing evolution.  

Vol. 3 packs in a mammoth 12 tracks from new and past label affiliates, spanning trippy, deep and hypnotic minimalism to tougher techno and beyond.

At the heart of Lady Tazz’s mission is Mind Medizin, her label and event series that champions the sound of kindred spirits, now inviting Radio Slave to the mix this June.
Lady Tazz has overcome many cultural obstacles to achieve her rightful place as one of Toronto’s foremost electronic dance exports. A renegade of sorts, as a teenager she would regularly visit the UK and Germany without her parents’ knowledge to attend London’s Sound Academy and to party in Berlin, whilst continuing to pursue her aspirations of becoming a DJ.

The Bangladeshi producer and DJ is proud of her heritage, but is realistic about the social expectations of throwing raves in her hometown. She moved to Toronto in her teenage years, where she grew up, educating herself on music and a place that has perfected a sound that remains organic and raw. Her record label and party series, Mind Medizin galanty taps into an erotic lifestyle that embraces the unconventional and free spirited – which inspires and motivates Lady Tazz on numerous artistic levels.
For Mind Medzin’s first release of 2025, Lady Tazz will release ‘Sleaze’ on the 27th June, to include a special remix from Rekids founder and UK godfather, Radio Slave. Making his debut on her label.

Foreboding and dripping with lascivious intent, ‘Sleaze’ brazenly stalks into existence by way of warping synth fills and glitching hi-hats. The lyrical component consists of a series of smouldering vocal hooks which salaciously enrapture ones’ senses tightly wrapping around the creeping melody before succumbing to the beat’s stomping dominance.
On the flipside, Radio Slave’s remix revs and fires with shots of ringing overtones atop a deep thud, husky vocal and swooshing cymbals. Whilst upping the ante of the original, its stripped back charm remains culminating in moody, chugging rework bubbling with tension and fraught with Radio Slave’s brand of dark, fractured house.

Deluka makes his SCI+TEC debut with "Paris Connection" and "Shake," two raw, floor-driven cuts shaped by years in Berlin's underground. Italian-born and now a key figure in the city's vinyl scene, Deluka brings the same gritty precision that defines his No Signal label and record store. A longtime admirer of Dubfire since his early sets in Napoli, this release marks a full-circle moment—intense, personal, and rooted in techno history.

Angioma returns to Dubfire's SCI+TEC with Waiting EP, a 3 track release that channels his signature blend of groove and hypnotic structure. The EP includes a remix of "Waiting V2" by Berlin-based producer, DJ and label owner Blue Hour, known for fusing elements of Acid Techno, Breakbeat, and 90s Rave. His reinterpretation expands the original into new territory while staying grounded in the raw, rhythmic drive both artists share.

Walls (Josh Wink's Eyes Closed Interpretation) - Snippet

TDDE (Third Dimension Dance Encounter) began when Pan-Pot accidentally spun a record backward at exactly 3:33 AM, tearing a rift through space-time and summoning a dancefloor from the fourth dimension. Out poured creatures made of soundwaves and strobe-light dust, who insisted on co-producing the track using zero-gravity turntables and vibes compressed into crystal form. Every drop in the song corresponded to a collapse in physical law-basslines folding gravity, hi-hats opening portals, synths bending causality into grooves. At the climax, time briefly reversed, and the studio became a sentient disco ball that whispered the final mix into their minds.
