Celebrating 13 years of releasing, let's be honest, pretty incredible music Local Talk have a rather brilliant compilation incoming sporting  some of the finest talent in the game right now including Soul Renegades, Shaka, Alex Attias & Sohan Wilson, Nico Lahs, ManooZ, Envee, Dan Tenor-City & Tom Funk and Rawson & Jackson.

As you would expect from @localtalk the album is packed with the finest quality house music, deep and Jazzy, smooth and sensuous yet packed with dancefloor nous.

Our premier from the album comes from Brighton's hugely talented Laroye (@tomlaroye), who we always keep and ear open for, along with featured artist Polose. Here they have delivered an exceedingly smooth slice of house music. From it’s tribal edged drums to it’s jazzy keys, euphoric pads and cool as you like vocal stabs this is a real timeless piece of music.

On August 18, we'll be hosting an event in London — headlined by two DJing greats in Kerri Chandler and Jeremy Underground. Mobile phones away, brains in dance mode, and a rare opportunity to be 100% in the moment. 

In the run-up, house music chieftain, Kerri Chandler, stripped away the digital gear to take a one-off dip into the world of classical music. Alongside Troy Denari, Kerri's reworked his classic track “The Way It Goes - (Track 1)” conducting a live orchestra to recreate the well-known classic.

Berlin native and Inkal founder, Ben Rau delivers two brand new mixes of the Roy Ayers classic ‘Holiday’.
Titled after his record label ‘Inkal‘, Ben’s first pass of ‘Holiday’ makes use of the original’s distinctive piano motifs over a bouncy and urgent big-room house groove; surely destined to become a summer essential for house DJs all over the globe.
Taking its name from his brand new imprint, the ‘Meta’ mix goes deeper, with afro-tinged percussion and rolling, techno-inspired drums leading the way toward an original organ solo over warm bass and hypnotic chords.
Recorded in the late 70’s, unearthed by BBE and issued on the second volume of unreleased Virgin Ubiquity recordings, ‘Holiday’ is a languid, sun-drenched jazz- funk classic; vintage Roy Ayers. The track was previously reworked in 2005 by Kenny Dope and DJ Spinna to global acclaim.

A preeminent artist of Chicago's 3rd wave, Andrew Emil is one of house music’s most staunch stalwarts. A concert-trained percussionist since age 11, he earned a chair in his native Kansas City Symphony before eventually moving to Chicago. As a traditional musician, Andrew Emil has worked as a keyboardist, arranger, and an orchestrator on recording sessions and productions, cutting his teeth at the former Chicago Trax Recording Studios. After a life in live music performance, from orchestra percussion sections to punk rock ensembles, he crafted a reputation for House Music productions in Chicago under his own name, as well as Broadway & Wilson, and Uptown Tones. Credited on over 200+ recordings, his composition and studio productions have ranged from concert works and sound design to film scoring stages and hundreds of releases of electronic music productions. 

This new release on S&S is special and captures the true essence of House Music. Andrew put a lot of energy into the Change Request Dreamixes which takes you on a musical journey.

BIO:

Co-founder of the French label Ondulé Recordings, Joss is also known as one of the most active artists on Robsoul recordings on which he has released top notch releases as his well-known series of "Rooms".

His musical experiments brought him to elaborate a particular sound and atmosphere that can be perceived in each and every set and production he does: funky enough to make it into Jackin’ house sets, hard enough to wrap around some tech, and groovy enough for those soulful types to grab on for dear life.
