After his 2024 album The Spirit Continues, Tilman returns with Altered Spaces, a tightly focused four-track EP that distills his signature sound into a concise, club-ready format.

Opening track Make My Body Move sets the tone with soulful vocals, warm piano stabs, a rolling bassline and a breezy Balearic vibe. The Last Resort deepens the mood, layering pads, organ hits and shimmering strings over a steady, driving groove.

Rounding out the EP are two reimagined cuts from The Spirit Continues. Dance Department (Spirit Mix) smooths out the rougher edges of the original, adding organ stabs and a more melodic sensibility. Need It (Dance Dub) transforms the track into a softer, dub-tinged version - hypnotic, restrained and full of subtle movement.

Altered Spaces is classic Tilman: warm, understated house music that's rich in detail and groove - made for dancers and deep listeners alike.

PREMIERE: THE SPIRIT [THE PATCHOULI BROTHERS EDIT]

Berlin-Hamburg duo Session Victim bring their celebrated Sidequests trilogy to a close with Chapter Three on Delusions Of Grandeur, wrapping up the series in signature style—full of warmth, groove and left-of-center touches that remind us why their music has remained so enduring over nearly two decades. Once again blurring the lines between live instrumentation, crate-digging textures and deep house aesthetics, the record feels like both a culmination and a new beginning.

Opening the A-side, Too Soft To Be Loud (Ian Pooley Remix) finds German house pioneer Ian Pooley reworking the original into a sleek, floor-focused roller. Shuffling drums, glowing synth pads, and that distinctive Pooley touch elevate the track into prime late-night territory, striking a balance between hypnotic subtlety and groove-driven energy.

October 31 2025, Västkransen Records releases its 10th record — a milestone double 12" vinyl compilation featuring eight tracks from some of Stockholm’s finest dance music producers, DJs and club heads. A celebration of the city’s underground electronic music scene, Västkransen 10 brings together familiar names from the label’s past as well as DJs making their record debut. What they all share is a vital role in the sound and spirit of Stockholm’s dancefloors today.
 
Launched in 2017, Västkransen Records grew out of Gården – a seasonal open-air party held beneath a highway on the border between the neighborhoods of Västberga and Midsommarkransen. Set in a place where industrial landscapes meet nature, this location has shaped both the party’s unique atmosphere and its blend of funk grooves, disco sounds and rawer house beats. Starting a label was a way to keep that energy going and showcase artists and selectors with few outlets in a city often drawn to darker and harder strains of dance music.

Solid Sliders - Get Ill [Västkransen Records]

Following years spent contributing killer EPS to Dam Swindle's Heist Recordings, Outplay founders Fouk (AKA Daniel Leeseman and Hans Peeman) make their debut on Jimpster and Tom Roberts' Freerange Records imprint. The Dutch duo sets the tone with title track 'Get It Done', where jaunty piano stabs, warming chords, disco strings and heady vocal snippets and a chunky bassline dance atop a s chunky bassline and swinging, loose-limbed garage-house groove, before unfurling the string-drenched and emotive beauty of 'Floating'. On side B we get two takes on breezy and colourful deep house number 'Neon Flight': a fine, constantly building 'Club Mix', and the deeper and more musically expansive beauty of the 'First Light' take.

Ibiza-based producer John Fritz kicks off a shimmering new chapter on Robsoul with 'French Touch #1’ - the first half of an eight-track, two-part love letter to the golden age of filtered House. It’s a project rooted in nostalgia but built for modern dancefloors: a tribute to the time when French producers in bucket hats and robot helmets changed club music forever.
“Some tracks are deeply rooted in the classic French Touch sound, while others reflect the diverse influences I’ve gathered over the years,” says John.
Opener ‘Ouh La La’ was born in lockdown after he got his hands on a legendary 3630 compressor. “I totally overcooked it,” he admits, but its rediscovery years later sparked something raw and sexy: pure underground heat, sans chichi.
‘Fédération Française du Filtre’ follows with a full-bodied ode to artists including Daft Punk, Cassius, and Étienne de Crécy - the heroes who first lit the fuse. Expect heavy filters, euphoric tension and a thumping kick made for basement dancefloors.
On ‘Another Funk’, Fritz channels his Ibiza energy into something darker. Hypnotic guitars, 909 rides, and that unmistakable Amador-style darker edge. Finally, ‘80’s Lover’ takes a left turn into minimal territory, blending clinical samples and after-hours vibes.
A perfectly formed homage and a knowing nod to a sound that shaped a generation, 'French Touch #1' is warm, playful, and timeless. A reminder that some grooves never fade.

Funkyjaws Music is back with more sounds to get those mouths and asses moving. It comes from Elado, originally from Poland, and an artist with a 30-year obsession with his craft. 'Love' is a big-hearted disco pumper with jangling riffs and bluesy vocals. 'Happy Days' has a similar vocal but more raw and guttural and offset by female harmonies. 'Benko' cuts back with a more supple, sun-kissed and Balearic sound with some nimble piano work bringing plenty of spice. 'Higher' is a smoochy 80s-influenced disco sound with vibes to spare.

Enrique Jimenez aka Big Pack is the House Salad Music label boss out of Mexico City. He discovered his love for electronic music in the mid 90's when he attended house and techno parties with local DJs. From then on, his intimate love affair with house music began. The sound of Chicago with labels like Cajual and Relief and Prescription brought him the most inspiration. His whole trajectory changed and music became his life. The task of discovering music became an infinite loop of collecting records. After 11 years of touring dance floors as a spectator and amateur DJ, in 2005 he acquired his first turntables, technics 1200s. When he finally felt he had an extensive vinyl collection, he decided to venture into the world of DJing professionally. Now, with some years of experience, Big Pack has played in key clubs all over Mexico, opening for artists such as Kevin Saunderson, Kenny Larkin, Derrick Carter, Phil Weeks, Wally Callerio, Andrew Emil, JT Donaldson , Oliver Dollar, 1200 Warriors, to name a few. Out of Mexico, Big Pack has playing in Canada, USA and Costa Rica. He is very busy with several internet radio show residencies on Radio Webphre and his own podcast & label, House Salad Music, featuring the best DJs in house music. Convinced of the timelessness of music, his mixes are a real tunnel of time, where he plays classics combined with the freshest of modern house.

BIO:

Co-founder of the French label Ondulé Recordings, Joss is also known as one of the most active artists on Robsoul recordings on which he has released top notch releases as his well-known series of "Rooms".

His musical experiments brought him to elaborate a particular sound and atmosphere that can be perceived in each and every set and production he does: funky enough to make it into Jackin’ house sets, hard enough to wrap around some tech, and groovy enough for those soulful types to grab on for dear life.
