Manchester based composer and recordist. Lo-fi. Folk. Psych. Songs. Unusually long neck for a man my height...

Influences drawn from just about everywhere (though favourites include the album Forever Changes and anything written by Kurt Vonnegut). The common unifying threads are a twin lust for imagination and storytelling.

BIO (Third person):
Currently working on his fourth album; a double, potentially triple album… Granfalloon continues the work of his third album, Positive Songs, to focus more on traditional songwriting, and not quite traditional storytelling, to chisel out small, beautiful moments. It showcases this non-traditional storytelling with subject matter like... the meta-narrative approach to the dangers to you and the relationships around you that writing can have, expressing love through mathematical formulae, and 8 year old girls catching bees in Tupperware boxes, all with a heavy dose of Richard Lomax’s absurdism.

Caitlin Gilligan is from the rolling hills of rural Galloway. Now based in the North-West of England, her songs still echo the wildness of her Scottish youth. Stirring age-old folk songs into a set of bare-boned and poetically-crafted originals, she demonstrates refreshing insight whilst simultaneously summoning the voices of times gone by. She draws much inspiration from folk giants such as Anne Briggs, Nick Drake and Leonard Cohen as well as traditional vocal music of Scotland, Ireland and America.
She has supported artists such as Martin Carthy, Martin Simpson, Sam Amidon, Rachel Sermanni, Emily Portman and The Rails. She played her debut Cambridge Folk Festival in 2019, where she was a selected highlight on The Den Stage.

Impromptu webcam recordings of two idiots with a guitar 

Norwegian singer-songwriter Siv Jakobsen quickly became a favourite of the indie-folk world with her first EP ‘The Lingering’. Tours supporting Bear’s Bear’s Den, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Damien Jurado followed before Jakobsen then truly delivered on that early promise with the arrival of her debut album The Nordic Mellow.  The 10-song collection was a testament to Siv’s bold lyricism and stunning vocal ability, transporting the listener into her world from the very first note.

In 2020 she released her widely-acclaimed sophomore album, ‘A Temporary Soothing’, which as well as receiving incredible reviews from the likes of Line of Best Fit, Clash Magazine and Under The Radar, was also nominated for a Norwegian grammy, a Spellemann. The vulnerability of her work has gained her many listeners across the world with Jakobsen having accrued 35 million streams to date. She’s spent the last few months supporting the likes of José González, The Lumineers and Susanne Sundfør, and is now preparing to share her latest body of work with the world.
