Gem is a very talented eleven year-old kid who showed exceptional skill and passion in the field of music at a very young age. He is the vocalist and lead guitarist of an all kids band who call themselves as Kontratyempo. He plays different musical instruments like guitar, drums and bass guitar.

Gem started his singing career when he was asked to perform in school during the recognition program. He was hesitant at first but when heard the applause of the audience, that is the time he realized the great feeling of being on stage. From then on, he was invited into different event like birthdays parties, school programs and music recitals. These activities continued on up to the point where he became the lead vocalist and lead guitarist of his own band. The band also started gaining popularity and was invited as well into different events including concerts and corporate events.

Gem's most recent achievement in the field of music is when he became part of the top 18 participants in the very prestigious musical show called "The Voice of the Philippines Kids Edition".

Aside from music, Gem is also very gifted academically. He has been a consistent honor student and and active participant in different academic activities. He has represented his school into different contests including MTAP Mathematics Challenge where he brought home 18th place out of 300 participants.
