I stumbled upon this forgotten track and immediately realized that it predates Panasonic by 9 years and predates first hearing Panasonic/Pan Sonic by 12 years (December 1997). In fact, it was Gordon Sharp of Cindytalk who brought Panasonic to my attention when he kindly gave me the CD of Kulma as a Christmas present while visiting Seattle for the second time since recording tracks for After The Flood.

In honor of the late great Mika Vanio, I present this recording I made of the show they played at Coney Island High on St Marks Place on October 30th 1998. It was incredibly intense, late in the set Alan vega jumps on stage and freaks on the mic like only he could. He was so amped he tripped over a cord and unplugged all of the gear in one fell swoop!! ( that's what the drop in music is)

Recorded on the legendary Sony MZ-R30 Mini-Disc Recorder using a sweet Sony condenser mic ( can't remember the model). It all sounds great and the MD and mic handle the heavy parts beautifully!

Transferred to CD using a direct to disc Harmon Kardon CDR 2 recorder into a Carver CT Seven Pre Amp using Sonic Holography circuit to beef up the soundstage
