Displacement, disconnect, disfunctional, disturbed. Loss of identity, loss of my voice and the freedom to express it,
but I kept writing. I kept writing stories and I kept writing experiences of my life which I knew somebody else would have gone through or soon would. I went away in search of connecting with my inner man, heart hardened towards fulfilling a calling that has been evident from an early stage of my past time. I needed to escape from familiarity but, I carried with me unwritten- to music. One day I stayed up listening to this music and I remember knowing exactly which direction to take, I remember the vision of where the music took me, a real escape where a bird flew across the skies with its creator who began to teach it again how to be free and serve its purpose. The bird was ready to do what it was created to do and so I called it, Songbird

ok so, everyone know am not really a fan of playing American Gospel, but i did this track for a nephew of mines, a few months ago, "Yet still I rise" by Yolanda Adams. i thought ill post it, might encourage some young arranger like myself to keep pushing. i used Reason to program the drum tracks, Logic Pro to record the instrument tracks using the sounds from my Fantom G7. Ma boy Carlton Bass Ed Jarrett, playn' some sick bass on the track for me. like i said, i dont really play this type of music but its basic and simple and hope it bless someone... and if your want, link me for the track and put some vocals to it, all you who can sing. and its just a basic mixed down. well here goes, hope you enjoy. :)) I own no rights to this track.
