El empleo del término resistencia en sociedades diferentes y momentos diferentes alude siempre no sólo a la oposición ante algo sino también a la persistencia en la postura. En el contexto de Valencia, la prácticamente definitiva disolución en torno a mediados de los años 2000 de una ya legendaria escena que adoptó diversas formas en un período de más de dos décadas tuvo como respuesta la creación del colectivo Hypnotica Colectiva.

La serie de eventos que ejemplificaba literalmente esta oposición al desvanecimiento fue bautizada con el nombre de La Resistencia, y tras una década de persistente desarrollo, el surgimiento de HC Records permitió dotar de espacio al concepto en el plano editorial en 2018. Ahora, un año después, llega el segundo volumen de La Resistencia. A partir de once tracks firmados por diversos artistas, el segundo volumen se mantiene vigorosamente en la idea de ilustrar tanto el reclutamiento de artistas foráneos que engarzan con la idiosincrasia del colectivo como las influencias musicales más notorias de éste.

El álbum abre con “000110_0826”, una pieza compuesta por Group que hace las veces de homenaje al industrial synth de la electrónica pionera. Tras él, “Break La Carbo” del autor valenciano Raszia es un ejercicio de corte electro y breakbeat atravesado por una espiral ácida en sentido ascendente y cuerdas en tensión que remiten a Underground Resistance. Igualmente, Detroit está representado en “Falso Optimismo” de Darkotic en términos minimalistas, y “Extracto” de Carbonero y “Atmosphera II” de Industrial Waves son la feroz implantación del sonido de la ciudad del motor en Centroeuropa.

Por su parte, “Death Dance” de Fausto es acid insistente y amortiguado, y “Marjal” de H. Paul una mirada nostálgica a Birminghan. Los últimos tracks del álbum son la representación del techno hardcore Centroeuropeo en diversas vertientes: “Prozium” de Ximo Noguera es un goteo ácido sutil que, parapetado en una estructura rítmica y tímbrica en forma de apisonadora, finaliza convirtiéndose en una pegajosa mancha de ácido burbujeante; “Danion” de Squaric es potencia militante y sin cuartel; “I'm Sorry, But I Have Nothing To Offer You” de JoyB es techno hardcore de aire industrial en el que la manipulación y variaciones de la voz marcan el avance de la pieza; por último, “Under The Storm” de Raszia” es el abrazo entre la distorsión y el acid, una acumulación de elementos que percuten en el hipotálamo.

JoyB - I M Sorry, But I Have Nothing To Offer You

Madrid-based label Metaphor is back. It's been two years since the release of Lars Huismann's EP, the label's bid to inaugurate the vinyl division. Now, with this seventh release, Metaphor chooses to release a first album by several artists on cassette format.

Entropy is an album that brings together four producers such as Vortm, Dan Böhler, Shhgrr and JoyB. All of them are currently based in Madrid and bring different points of view of the same scenario such as disorder, randomness and the excesses of the properties of entropy. As a concept it has a logic that resides in uncertainty, and this, taken to the musical field, can have different interpretations.

The album is divided into 8 tracks, two per artist. Each producer shows different options, from binary beats to syncopated rhythms, with a lot of energy and stressful or claustrophobic atmospheres. The sensations are varied, some tracks invite you to dance, others to project your mind to far away places and others to try to escape from a nightmare.

She is versatile, expressive and owner of striking style, her performances are marked by a strong presence, that soon conquers and allows you to feel techno in new and expressive frequencies.
