Bitten by the music bug since my childhood
Music school in my very young years, started at 6. Played electronic organ, synths were not quite that accessible when i was like 8years old, 42 years ago. Bought my first record when i was 6. With the pocketmoney i saved on sunday instead of bying candy. 

When teenager, 14years old, New wave entered my life. Then came new beat, acid, house.... 

In the early 90's I met a whole bunch of great people in this o so wonderfull but hard world. From one came another, and in 96 was my chance, a friend dj had to cancel his set on the last moment, so replacement was wanted within one week. I started my set at 2am, as a newbie.... 3000 people in front of me.... instead of the 25 in the youth home nearby my home.... And I pulled it of!!!! They asked me for the next party....

But it was hard.... to prove everyone i could do it. A lot of friends/djs told me it was not easy to find a decend gig somewhere.... dj contests did not even existed yet. 

So I sold my technics turntables, my rodec and we bought a sampler, AKAI S2000 (now called"vintage") we installed Cubase VST for windows and a new sampler, along with already bought hardware, and the first "groovebox" from Roland which we used as a simple drumcomputer. Soundmodules like Roland R8-M Total Percussion Sound Module, Roland JV-1080 Synthesiser Expandable Rack Mount MIDI Sound Module, an analog mixing panel, and a few other modules for sound, effect, etc.... our first encounter with lots of cables in a small hot room.
Proffesional Sound isolation was too expensive, egg boxes did the trick....

After splitting up (with friend) the studio moved a few times... but after several years, it wasnt possible anymore to find a suitable place to reinstall this pearl. 

As for dj'ing.... I had the question, to start again. But missing the complete digital startup and evolution of it, made me a newbie again. So i sold my records to a friend, knowing they were in good hands.

For many years, my daily work took over, promotions, you know, .... 


But that has passed now, it's time for music to take the lead again. 
Different scene, same drive.... more mature.... without music, live just makes no sense  ❤️
