The Luxembourg Signal - Mourning Moon

Under an Ocean of Holes is the simmering, jam packed second single from Minor Moon’s forthcoming album Tethers (out March 26th via Whatever’s Clever / Ruination Record Co.) that relays the protagonist’s descent into a spiritual and literal abyss of mythic proportions. The track propels forward at a brisk-yet-brooding pace, defying expectations with abrupt turns that carve out an earth-toned, krauty, near-prog sonic adventure akin to the explorations of Daniel Romano and Grizzly Bear. But while the track eventually explodes into splendid, swirling and mathy chaos, it remains, on the whole, a carefully calibrated and vibey arrangement that also calls to mind the subtle effortlessness of Cass McCombs and Sam Evian records.
