A community-centered Techno pioneer: Joy Huebner

Having lived in Malaga, Madrid, and Berlin, Joy Huebner draws on the unique energy of each place he’s called home. After a long time of experimenting and perfecting his craft, he started to push his own vision and started Vinyl Lust, a platform centered around vinyl that brings together enthusiasts and artists, embracing new connections through sharing music and art.

Joy’s musical journey evolved with the co-founding of Aligned Elements, a record label he launched with ANTOM , releasing music aligned by their common vision. His own sound is heavily characterized by analog instruments like drum machines, synthesizers, sequencers, and modular systems. Having recently toured in Poland and Portugal, as well as released on his own label and among others, Joy Huebner is for sure someone to keep an eye on.

PURVEYANCE TECHNO TRANSMISSIONS #010 llega de Berlín y a vinilo.

JOY HUEBNER nació en Hannover en 1991, y comenzó a familiarizarse con la música a muy temprana edad gracias a su padre, un músico de jazz experto en percusión y bajo. Los ritmos y las frecuencias medias y bajas se le incrustaron en el alma, y sentaron las bases de su trayectoria musical. Sin embargo, su vida no dio un giro radical hasta que se topó con el techno a los 18 años.
Fascinado por los ritmos vibrantes del techno, Joy se sumergió primero en el mundo de los equipos de DJ, perfeccionando rápidamente sus habilidades y despertando su pasión por crear experiencias sonoras inolvidables. Con un don natural para el ritmo y una comprensión innata de los grooves, pronto se encontró organizando fiestas en su ciudad natal, Málaga.
Impulsado por un amor inquebrantable por la música, tomó la audaz decisión de centrar todos sus esfuerzos en perseguir sus aspiraciones musicales en Madrid. Allí, se introdujo en el cautivador mundo del vinilo, amasando su colección y pinchando en diversos clubes de toda la ciudad. También se adentró en la producción musical, lo que le guió por la senda del sonido y el hardware analógicos. El vinilo se convirtió en su lienzo, y los instrumentos analógicos (cajas de ritmos, sintetizadores, secuenciadores, sistemas modulares) en sus herramientas para forjar una nueva realidad, un reino único donde podía volcar su alma en cada nota y ritmo. Fascinantemente, su amor por la música se entrelazó con su pasión por la ciencia ficción, infundiendo en sus creaciones una firma distintiva que combina elegancia, ritmo y una sensación de libertad ilimitada.
Al darse cuenta de que el techno es su verdadera vocación, Joy tomó la trascendental decisión de mudarse a la electrizante ciudad de Berlín en 2015. Aquí, su arte floreció, llamando la atención de lugares prestigiosos como About Blank, Salon zur Wilde Renate y Suicide Club. Su talento le valió el reconocimiento internacional, que culminó en una gira por Polonia, paseando por varias ciudades sus ritmos hipnóticos. Portugal también quedó encantado con su música y lo invitó a engalanar escenarios con su sonido.
