Joywave has proved prolific and popular on the road, performing countless headline dates, show-stealing sets at international festivals spanning Lollapalooza, Coachella, Bumbershoot, and the UK’s Reading/Leeds, and support runs with such like-minded artists as The Killers, Young the Giant, Cold War Kids, Walk the Moon, Bleachers, Smashing Pumpkins, Foals, Silversun Pickups, Brandon Flowers, Thirty Seconds To Mars, and more. As if that weren’t enough, Joywave have put equivalent energy into creating visual and other components, supplementing their music with similarly inventive videos and YouTube series like Joy Meets World and Coffee With Joywave, the latter showcasing their own Rochester-roasted Joywave coffee brand.

Joywave is Daniel Armbruster: Vocals, Programming * Paul Brenner: Drums * Joseph Morinelli: Guitar, Bass Guitar * Benjamin Bailey: Piano, Guitar, Keys, String Arrangements.

I have been sharing my multifaceted musical  interests online, here since 2014 but I’ve always played music for others  I have some community radio DJ training & experience too, locally & in northern Ontario 
Streaming on SoundCloud is for my own personal entertainment  It feeds my obsession with new music while soothing my love of past favourites, covers & live versions    
A play on the story of my living.   A soundtrack to life, noted with the bridging of beats, rhythms & melodies. My Segway into being more me than merely words could ever achieve

The radio was always on in my mother’s kitchen   I remember I started putting albums on my older sister’s turntable at about 7   However, I was surly listening to Jazz, Country & Classical from my Mum’s womb   By 11, I started borrowing classic albums from the library & bought my first album, Houses of the Holy by Led Zeppelin, in the summer of 1973   

Music is my connector, my heart’s language, my joy, my ‘main squeeze’.  Music is healing & has been my main mental health therapy provider   A connector & communicator of my existence & emotional expression, all the days of my life
