The 45 opens with a killer breakbeat that leads into an awesome rendition of the Meters standard (the title track of their second Josie album) with the themes being played in the street carnival sound of the West Indies, to “ease back” just a little on the flip side.
Both sides were remixed by Hawkeye and re-released on MPM 7".

Rivalling their legendary output from the 70’s onwards, Brazilian jazz-funk pioneers Azymuth’s latest album Fênix saw the band on top form, with their trademark samba doido (crazy samba) sounding as slick as ever. Since then, Far Out Recordings has comissioned a special one-off remix for the project, from Chicago deep-house legend Ron Trent, who has long cited Azymuth as musical heroes and one of his biggest influences. With a toughened groove and gorgeous swirls of synth and pad embelishments, Ron’s remix takes Azymuth’s futurist disco even deeper.

Partnered with Freestyle Records label mate Omar Lyefook (on vox) here the duo offer a fresh interpretation of Herbie's classic track, Butterfly.  The single is taken from Pine's new album, Black Notes From The Deep - out October 27th.
