Daughter of the King

For the third chapter of my "Journal Sonore", I chose to revisit a childhood memory that left a deep mark on me. I recorded a cover of "Rendez-vous 2" by Jean-Michel Jarre. This piece has been with me since I was 13, the age at which I bought the vinyl of the Lyon/Houston concert from 1986, released in 1987. At that time, I was already passionate about electronic music. Jarre was never one of my favorite artists in the strict sense, but I’ve always had great respect for what he brought to the genre.

During that concert, one moment in particular completely captivated me: the laser harp performance. That futuristic, almost unreal image, combined with a dark and haunting melody, left an indelible impression on me. It’s that mysterious and deep atmosphere that I wanted to capture in my own version.

I want to make it clear that I do not own the rights to this piece and I am not seeking to profit from it in any way. This is simply a fragment of my musical past, a formative memory that I want to share with you, and a sincere tribute to Jean-Michel Jarre and the magic he infused into electronic music.

He Never Fell – Cinematic Tribute to Chuck Norris

When Harley Meets Joker (A Comic Books Tribute) is a conceptual EP by TLR:SPLT, inspired by the tragic, chaotic, seductive, and unstable bond between two iconic figures from the world of comic books: Harley Quinn and Joker.

Built as a narrative electronic project for a wider audience, this release explores obsession, emotional imbalance, destructive love, fascination, collapse, care, and survival through a dark but accessible hybrid of techno, melodic tension, spoken imagery, and cinematic club energy. Strongly influenced by the theatrical power of tracks such as “I Am The Joker” by Boris Brejcha, this EP transforms comic-book mythology into a more intimate psychological and musical language.

Behind the fictional tribute, the project also opens a deeper layer of the TLR:SPLT lore: the story of a fractured protagonist shaped by psychic instability, inner noise, hospital memories, and encounters with real care, humanity, beauty, and professional dedication. In that sense, When Harley Meets Joker is not only a tribute to DC-inspired characters, but also to the caregivers, nurses, and professionals who bring light, dignity, and presence into moments of mental darkness.

Intent note:
This EP was conceived as a bridge between pop mythology and inner experience. It uses the symbolic tension of Harley and Joker to speak about vulnerability, destructive attraction, emotional extremes, and the strange closeness between danger and tenderness. Through this project, TLR:SPLT turns comic-book imagery into narrative techno for the night: dramatic, wounded, playful, and alive.
And to reassure everyone: no worries — the music is handling the therapy just fine. 🃏🎶

When Harley Meets Joker (A Comic Books Tribute) est un EP conceptuel de TLR:SPLT, inspiré par le lien tragique, chaotique, séduisant et instable entre deux figures emblématiques de l’univers des comic books : Harley Quinn et Joker.

Pensé comme un projet de musique électronique narrative destiné à un public plus large, ce disque explore l’obsession, le déséquilibre affectif, l’amour destructeur, la fascination, l’effondrement, le soin et la survie à travers un mélange sombre mais accessible de techno, de tension mélodique, d’images parlées et d’énergie club cinématographique. Fortement influencé par la puissance théâtrale de morceaux comme “I Am The Joker” de Boris Brejcha, cet EP transforme une mythologie de comic books en matière plus intime, psychologique et musicale.

Derrière l’hommage fictionnel, le projet ouvre aussi une strate plus profonde du lore de TLR:SPLT : celle d’un protagoniste traversé par l’instabilité psychique, le bruit intérieur, des souvenirs d’hôpital et des rencontres avec de vrais gestes de soin, d’humanité, de beauté et de professionnalisme. En ce sens, When Harley Meets Joker n’est pas seulement un hommage à des personnages inspirés de l’univers DC, mais aussi à toutes les soignantes, infirmières et professionnelles qui apportent de la lumière, de la dignité et une présence humaine dans les moments d’obscurité mentale.

Cet EP a été conçu comme un pont entre mythologie pop et expérience intérieure. https://the-lost-connection.com  is the place to learn about me and my history.  Although I am just a Warehouse Picker, I am also a songwriter/keyboard player (IPI.  1069682323).  I have written over 1000 song lyrics since 1989 and have released 12 albums.  My productions have never been good enough to promote and I'm happy being an unknown artist, writing and recording music for pleasure rather than as a professional.  In April of 2017 I created my own website.  If you are interested in my songs then please save and stream on internet streaming sites, such as YT Music and Spotify.   If you like my words then check out my book ‘The Words Behind The Music Volume One: Lost In Reality’.  There will be a 2nd book within the next year, The Other Ones Before (Then After).
 
I released my first album, 'Lost Property' in December 2019. In the following months I released 5 Best Of albums.  They contained 87 tracks which I'd recorded between 2011 -2019.  In March I decided to release another album of songs which I'd recorded on tape (1994 - 1998) although 'Love Music' was updated in 2018 and the poem , Arrival... In Due Time', was recorded to complete the 'Reality In Dreamland' story not long before the album release.  

'2020 Vision' was the last album release of 2020.  This contains the single 'Voluntary Redundancy' which is very significant in regard to the album and the year in general. 

The next album release was  'New Lost World 19-20-21' (released on 1-9-2021 and features songs recorded in that 3 year period) which does feature one song that was re-written in a collaborative format.  Many of the songs were recorded (or re-recorded) during my year break after redundancy.

Soon after my 9th album, I released 'The Lost & Found History', which was a duo that never had enough time to get ideas up and running, but the brief recording moments occurred and this album shows the results.  The recordings were done between 1999 - 2013, but a couple of the tracks were initially just music.  Lyrics were added and, in 2021, the vocals were added to complete the songs.  Other songs were meant to recorded but we never found the time.  

Progress was made during the COVID years and 'Whatever Happened' is an album that reveals the results of attending a sync-writing course for 6 months; writing to briefs and collaborating.  It is mixed with personal, poignant and humorous songs.  it features lyrics from as far back as 1990. Before the release of the album 2 singles were promoted on Spotify: Won't Stop' and 'I Am Just Me'.  I am glad to reveal that the album will contain another version of 'Won't Stop' but called 'We Won't Stop' featuring Tim (the other half of The Lost & Found') on guitar and vocals (and co-writer of the music).

I may promote 'Voluntary Redundancy' from 2020 as I never gave it much exposure when first released.

Prior to focusing on my website and my  own releases I was in a heavy rock band...

At the beginning of 2013 I became the keyboard player with Innovator.    At the beginning of 2015, 'Time Is Running Out' but the first album was recorded before I joined the band.  'Spare Time' I introduced to the band and it was modified into an Innovator collaboration.  The song has been pre-recorded in it's original musical format , but lyrics amended since 2009 and is on '2020 Vision'.  A single was released on DistroKid in January 2016 for which I had a very big influence, called 'Southern Lady'.  It was a variation of a piece of music called 'The Lost And Found' recorded as a song many years before, but never released (as vocals not added until more recent years).  On this SoundCloud site I have deleted all the Innovator songs as I left the band in June 2017.  ‘Trapped Behind The Looking Glass’ was the 3rd album whi ch was released in August 2018,  on which I played on 6 of the songs and did backing vocals on ‘Dogs Of War’ (the deep chorus vocals).

Entrudr is a dark electronic project by songwriter and producer Graham DeYoung. With more than 30 years of musical experience, DeYoung studied songwriting at Berklee College of Music, toured with various bands throughout the 2000's, and later spent many years in Los Angeles producing and performing experimental electronic music.

Driven by concern for humanity’s future, Entrudr explores the tension between technological advancement and human loss through dystopian storytelling, industrial textures, cinematic electronics, and immersive worldbuilding.

DeYoung uses AI as a production tool within the project as part of its artistic vision. All vocals are generated, but the songs are conceived, written, produced, shaped, and intensely refined by DeYoung. AI is not a shortcut. It is part of the medium and part of the message.

TLR:SPLT crafts narrative and immersive electronic music, blending dark techno, melodic tension, and a transmission-based aesthetic. Music conceived as a sequence of signals, between night, memory, and resistance.

PsychoFaces é um DUO de DJ SET, formado por Rodrigo Paião Simplício (22 de Julho de 1993) e Vinicíus Di Carlo Guimarães Giraldi (11 de agosto de 1995), Ambos nascido na cidade de Guarulhos - São Paulo.

A dupla de amigos teve seu primeiro contato com o gênero musical  em  2012, participando de Raves / festivais da cultura PSYTRANCE, apenas por diversão. Agora com o conhecimento musical e cultural obtido na cena, vêm se apresentando através de DJ/SET'S, explorando a vertente PSYCHEDELIC NIGHT (Full On Night), com técnicas de discotecagem, agitando as pistas de uma forma intensa e transcendental.

O nome do projeto foi elaborado a partir de analise das vertentes do gênero, onde cada integrante tinha suas peculiares em termos de Psicodelia que chamava mais atenção. Vinicius; mais conhecido como "Punk", sempre gostou de sons com uma linha mais obscura e continua, e Rodrigo; mais conhecido como "Paião", sempre optou por uma linha mais melódica e dançante.
Resumidamente, o termo "PSYCHOFACES" para nós, seria a união dessas peculiaridades traduzidas em formas de Set's.

E assim foi dado o início do projeto PsychoFaces....
