Porto-based Brazilian artist Marcal pushes on from a high-impact debut on Donato Dozzy and Neel’s Spazio Nero label with his third outing on Enemy Records. Turning in a five-track package on Dustin Zahn’s Berlin-based techno imprint, a new rhythmic confidence underpins his EP Enchant & Deceive. Fans of his, which includes DVS1, Truncate, Rødhåd and Marcel Dettmann, should note his sharpened percussive instincts.

Relocating to Porto from Goiânia in 2024, he’s been releasing on prominent labels since 2020, with Rekids Special Projects and Token Records also signing his cuts.
