Jack Mystery formed in Dallas-Fort Worth in July of 2001. The songs include a variety of genres, but mostly hard rock music. The band includes Nick Kaylor, Jonathan Rollans, Chris Shockley, Brett Derbes, and Casey Henson. They played shows throughout North Texas until 2006 and reconnected in 2022 after a long hiatus. They agreed to make their music available online and plan to post some unreleased tracks soon.  New music coming in 2023!

Greetings and thank you for checking out my profile.  I have been playing guitar for 31 years and after performing with many local Dallas/Fort Worth bands in the 90's and 00's, I have finally started recording music of my own.

Most of what I record seems to come out naturally as "Industrial/Rock/Metal/Electronic" that focuses on layered rhythms, grooves and soundscapes backed by heavy guitar and keyboard/synth sounds.  This became my “Industrial/Rock/Metal” project. I consider most of these pieces to be more suitable for things like cartoons, commercials and video games.    

I also have a passion for film and TV scores and I find a lot of inspiration from composers such as John Williams, James Horner, Elliot Goldenthan, Vangelis, Enya, John Murphy, Graeme Revell, Brian Tyler, Bear McCreary, Murray Gold, Jerry Goldsmith, Mike Patton and John Van Tongeren.
