So many good tracks coming from so many producers, 2013 provided some great tunes and grooves. Time to start "digging through the crates" to see what tracks came across the Soundcloud page in 2013.

The monthly "Clen's List" playlists come from the great music that I stumble across on soundcloud each month and want to share with others. Of course this wouldn't be possible without the work of all the producers, reposters, promoters, and suggestions from others, so thanks and big up to everyone out there sharing and producing these sounds.

Another goal of these lists is to promote the artists producing the tunes. There are some really incredible less known productions that float around and just don't wind up in the "spotlight". By including these productions in the lists, hopefully these great works get their time in the spotlight.
 
Look out for a new list around the end of each month.

P.S. Overtime the lists lose tracks that were originally included. I do not know if this is due to artists removing their tracks from soundcloud (or the tracks get bought by a record company and then removed), or if there is another reason. I will try to keep these lists as up to date and as close to how they were originally as best as possible.

‘Pop It Off’ features the distinct vocals of Trinidad and Toboggan artist, Mad Hed City (aka Kerwin Prescott). In typical Prototypes dance-floor anthem style, this one is sure to become a DJ's favourite. Twisted baselines and sharp beats are topped off with a dancehall vocal that will have the ravers skanking.

The package also comes backed with a remix from hotly tipped Black Butter artist Jaded. The Jaded remix uses to the awesome Mad Hed City to great effect by dropping the pitch and reworking the original elements into a bass house banger!

We’ve roped in new British talent from the likes of Luna, Changer, Primitive Instinct and Lurch - whilst keeping our international connections simmering, with offerings from Mountain, Reset Wrong, Soul Dimension and Monika. 

Reset Wrong’s track Femme is a morphing selection of grunting synths and bi-polar drums - a first outing for the Russian duo on Soulvent. Meanwhile long-time friend, first-time collaborator Dushi offers up Crossroads, a number perfect for poolside jams & park life living. 

Fresh from dropping his Teleportation EP on Celsius, Mountain returns with the feel-good half-time stepper that is Squall - littered with chords that will definitely have you reaching for the air guitar. Strife II delivers You’ll Always Know - energetic drums bathed in sunshine will have your hands in the air and a smile on your face. Dilemma brings a jazzy vibe that winds down the tone after a long day in the sun. Soulful keys and rolling basslines keep the good times coming.

As the sun goes down, break out the EP’s darker side with Cumber from Luna and The Shakes from Lurch. Big servings of sub bass will have you rounding out the after parties in style.
