José Rodrigo Soto Bautista, known artistically as J STAXX, is a Guatemalan DJ and music producer carving his name into the global underground scene with a distinct blend of minimal, deep tech, and hypnotic techno. Inspired by artists like Michael Bibi, Toman, Vito UK, and D-Unity, J STAXX delivers raw, groove-heavy sounds that blend 80s/90s nostalgia with forward-thinking club energy. His debut release “Glow State” dropped on Glowing Music, gaining support from local heavyweights and proving his sound is both refined and ready for the floor. Known for sharp mixing, deep selections, and a humble yet relentless drive, J STAXX is on a mission to represent Central America on the world stage—one pulse at a time. Currently based in Guatemala City, he’s committed to creating music that resonates with late-night ravers, minimal heads, and anyone who connects.
