I'll be posting new music that I'm working on and also using this platform to repost some of the music that artists in my #4BarFriday community and on my label are producing.

Raised on the South Side of Chicago, Vic rose to public awareness as a member of the eclectic hip-hop band Kids These Days and founder of the Chicago collective SAVEMONEY alongside Chance The Rapper and other local upstarts Joey Purp and Peter CottonTale. His solo debut mixtape INNANETAPE dropped in 2013, igniting immediate accolades (including a spot on the XXL Freshman cover in 2014), and a fortuitous introduction to Jay Z that led to a record deal with Roc Nation. Mensa went on to help Kanye West pen his esoteric song “Wolves” from The Life of Pablo, drop three critically acclaimed EPs (2016’s There’s A Lot Going On, 2018’s Hooligans, and 2020’s V TAPE) and his debut full length The Autobiography (2017), as well as furthering social causes in his hometown through his nonprofit SAVEMONEYSAVELIFE. In both music and his social activism, Vic challenges the American system responsible for a history of overcriminalization, racial injustice, and issues that affect the lives of people in underserved communities, while showcasing profound levels of consciousness and self-reflection.

Born in 1994 Radontae Ashford aka Wave Chapelle, is an hip hop artist from the north side of Milwaukee, WI. Wave Chapelle gained popularity by releasing single songs through his soundcloud, that later transcended into mixtapes. In 2013 Wave made his debut with the mixtape “It’ll All Make Sense Soon”. In late 2014 Wave followed with his second project, “Only the Beginning” featuring Curren$y, Rico Love, & more, becoming the first young artist to break out of his city. Spring 2016 Wave debuted his long awaited project “W” featuring his stand out tracks Overtime & Let’s Win ft. IshDARR, solidifying his place both at the local and national level. Later that year Wave unleashed a flurry of singles ranging from Boss Up (feat. Lil Uzi Vert) – Single to Don’t See Em ft. K CAMP to Henny Cardi. In 2017 Wave followed up with the second installment of his series It’ll All Make Sense Soon 2 showcasing his growth with tracks like Waves ft. Malcolm Anthony & Authentic. Throughout his work, he teeters between neo-soul production, trap-like beats, and boom bap, using the platform to spit bars on his personal narrative, his city, and his progress.
