Bach: Erbarme dich

A piece with a fascinating history. It was originally attributed to 18-th century composer Albinoni and supposedly discovered by 20-th century biographer Rema Giazotto. Later it was revealed that Giazotto had found only a small segment of the opening melody and chord structure and it is now believed he wrote most of it himself. 
However it was written, it is a hauntingly beautiful but melancholy piece. This arrangement by Jason Waldron, and performed by William Wilson. More on william at Facebook.com/wmwilsonguitar .

Legacy Broken is a cinematic orchestral concept album that explores the psychological weight of legacy, family, and emotional silence. Blending restrained elegance with hypnotic minimalism, each track unfolds like a room in a haunted memory palace—echoes of conversations, legal inheritances, betrayals, and unresolved grief.

Muted strings, fractured piano motifs, trembling horns, and emotionally conflicted harmonic structures form a sonic language of unspoken tension and decaying tradition. The arrangements resist resolution, allowing silence, repetition, and space to carry as much meaning as melody.

This album is not just a score — it’s a portrait of inheritance, power, and the long shadows of memory. The finale song "Inheritance of Silence" concludes with a vocalized song about empty love, wealth and social responsibility.

When I first heard Frank Hiemenz' brilliant recording of Albeniz' "Asturias" I was inspired to create an chamber orchestra  arrangement around his solo guitar recording to give the piece more of a guitar concerto feel. One of the themes of this album is, I would say, dawn, new beginnings, taking the first steps on a new journey and so on, and many of the sounds used on it were recorded early in the morning. Several feature water, be it rain or a gently burbling forest stream. The recorded sounds were then processed in various ways to create soundscapes which hopefully have something of the life and organic feel of nature in them. A commentator online once described my Snufmumriko music as ”soundscape cloth woven from field recordings” or something along those lines, and i think that’s an apt description. There’s also an almost spiritual dimension to these tracks, and I was often in a very introspective mood as I created them.
