Sub-Theme: The Name Before The Glorious Name: Pillar!

Scriptures: Revelation 6:1-2 

INTRODUCTION! 

Nehemiah 8:12 

You are holy when you praise God. Joy is holy, sorrow and sadness is unclean, it shows that there are unclean sprits around you. Jesus was sorrowful when the prince of the world (Satan) was coming, but when they are close by it means you can strike them! Praise God and strike them! 

IDENTITY AT THE BASE AND IDENTITY THROUGH THE MISSIONS! 

Revelation 6:1-2

The above scripture informs us of a man on a white cross, with a crown, who has two identities. He went out conquering to conquer! 

At the base He had victory at rest. He had not yet fought anything, but he already had an identity at rest; a name called conqueror. He is then activated into a mission — The horse in this scripture, denotes an ability to move and displace yourself, someone or something, from one place to another quickly. 

This victory is not a slow victory, it's a running victory; a victory in flight. He went out to conquer, to get another name with specific victories attached to it. The first name did not have anything specific attached to it, but the second name was specific to the many victories He would conquer. He was going to conquer the cross, death and many more things. Your list of victories hasn’t been written, you need to start writing victories. 

The horse, the crown, the bow and the arrow are here, JTL. The bow in Revelation 6 represents the upperroom and the arrow is you. Joseph was an arrow that was released over Egypt, when he was released all the wealth of Egypt was released! 

The man of the horse had: 
1. An identity at rest (at the base). 
2. An identity that set Him in motion. It's called missionary identity. 

There are things about you that you cannot discover until you are set in motion. But God will not set in motion what He has not established at the base. The victory must be established at the base in order to be manifested at the destination. What is not established will not be manifested. 

Jesus received His identity before birth. The angel said to Mary, you will bear a son and will call him Jesus. His identity was established at the base but it was manifested at the cross. Today, we break every wrong identity that was established at your birth and before your birth, that is manifesting in your life! 

THE IDENTITY AT THE BASE IS CALLED STABILITY! 

Hebrews 1:2-3 

The third mystery of stability is called PILLAR! 

You are a pillar. When you are baptised into this identity, the powers of darkness have no power over you, over this identity. When you are a pillar, people can lean on you, they can depend on you. If you want to sustain a structure, you need to reinforce the base. Your stability reinforces the base. You are a foundation! 

THE NEW JERUSALEM! 

Revelation 21:12-13 

Let your name be written on the foundation. It is time to start many branches at JTL. Those who start branches, their names are written on the foundation. 

“three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

There are angels called Gate keepers, they give you access. The wall is the security, it is the intercession. The doors and the gates are open to JTL. If you are bold, hungry and focused the Lord will take you through.

Will your name be written on the foundation of JTL Johannesburg? Students this is the reason you came to Johannesburg, to lay a foundation where your name will be written. God is looking for founders.

Sub-theme: Know the place of your sustenance Food is a means of sustainance.

God is creator of all things and the sustainer of what He creates

Psalm 104:24, 27-28 GNT

It is important that believers understand that they are the source of the blessing, peace, empowerment of the nation where they are.

There are only 3 points to my sermon.

1. When we give to God his portion of our lives (tithe of time, skill, mind...) God releases the sustainance.

Malachi 3:8-12

2. The Church is a place where God prepares people who are going to be sources of sustainance for the nation.

1 Samuel 9:6-27. Saul went from being a shepherd to a statesman, a man who would fight for the nation of Israel

3. The place of sustainance is sometimes hidden from the nation who needs it.

Many people dont see the Church for what it is. This is why people go to other places to be sustained.

Scriptures: Psalm 68:7 | Exodus 12:1-14

KEY POINTS:

1. We are marching out of lockdown with God going ahead of us (Psalm 68:7)
- We do not make a move before God makes a move. God goes ahead of everything He asks of you. 
- God is not where you are now, God is waiting for you where He is calling you too.

2. We march out with marching orders! (Exodus 12:1-14)

a. God speaks to those He has placed ahead of you. 
- God’s marching orders are not for Him, they are for your benefit. If you march out without marching orders you are exposing yourself to the dangers of the road. 
- Your attitude towards God’s instructions shows us your level of commitment towards God.
- The first miracle of Jesus began by following an instruction. Jesus doesn’t work where people do not follow instructions. We need the Spirit of God to access the instructions of God. 

b. This is the new year of God! This is the first month. The calendars of men, of business, etc can fail but the calendar of God never fails. 

c. A lamb is a symbol of sacrificial commitment to God 
- You should not have expectations in God that do not match up your  commitment.
- “When I see the blood, I will pass over” means two things: 
1. God will go ahead of you (He will lead you) 
2. God will cover you
