Cork-based producer Colm K’s sound is one established on sensory exploration, with an emphasis on the symbiosis between groove and melody and its unending range of possibilities. His music has dabbled in a diverse array of styles, from sultry Hip-Hop instrumentals through to expressive breakbeat and sunny-side up house, and all the goodness inbetween. His music demonstrates an innate sense of presence, balancing out hyper-expressive rhythms with profound emotive blends that channel euphoria to create self-contained experiences that place joy in the heart.

There is a distinctive experience found within ‘A Red Line in a Blue Sky’, and that is one of letting the mind and body go between the instrumental slipstreams. A distinctive and graceful deep house excursion, the pulse is firmly established within the opening phrases of the title track. A pulsating chord rings out across the centre of the track, as the cavernous drumming pattern sets the tone underneath. Deft touches permeate across the top ends, characterised by simmering, almost floating textures and delicate motifs, all of which feel out the space with purpose. ‘One Eye’ complements the title track in that the melody meanders more, but jets off into similar waters. The atmosphere is breezy and uplifting, the rays of light spreading out across the stanzas as the vivacious chords and powerful rhythm section do much to shift the feeling up a gear.

SIxm Sol’s take on the title track fits the record like a glove. Shifts are made to the original’s formidable pulse, its presence set back ever so slightly, which gives space to the vocal samples and up-top rhythmic touches. It’s a wondrous take, emulating the spirit of the original whilst adding inventive and creative pieces in all the right places. The EP is seen out by ‘Unity’, which in many ways speaks to the record’s in-between spaces. A series of dubby melodic sequences interlace effortlessly with the rhythm section, which, along with a sample-laden backdrop, helps to construct the final take from this profound piece of house music.

Marc Carmona born in January 1977
His history on the electronic track begins in the nineties with vinyl and the Bakala parties. He immediately put his ear to the most innovative and creative sounds that, far from those superficial melodies, he has conducted with elegance and forcefulness ever since. Between 1996 and 2000, he worked for DDM Records, a vinyl store and music production company in Sabadell, from where private parties were organized, among other events.
It was in 2006 when he made the leap to Berlin where he found the style and underground movement that he was looking for, frequenting places like Club 25, Maria Ostbahnhoft or Panorama Bar (Berghein), among others. Already in Barcelona, he has collaborated with clubs such as Macarena club, City Hall, Sala Bloc, Belafonte and #secretlocation tag rooms, among others, they have been testimony of his refined and forceful electronics. .

Gerard Bauza is a young Catalan DJ and producer based in Barcelona and whose main hallmark is the more melodic side of the techno genres. He he is one of the two creators of the Locked Music label, the Locked parties and the Fort Festival, umbrellas under which he has held the most recent and important steps of his musical career.
He is originally from Tarragona and that is where he planted his first pine trees as a DJ, performing in many clubs, being a resident at the Sala Golfus and running the Chill Iot parties. As a child he played the saxophone and over the years he developed a special ear to interpret jazz, reggae, blues, swing or even rocksteady music as a member of the One Drop group. It was in 2003 when his passion for the most melodic genres of music ran into electronics and, more specifically, techno.
Supported by his closest surroundings, he opted for the world of musical selection and mixing, something that captivated him from the first moment. From 2008 to 2015 he was a member of the promoter group Elquintopiso, before meeting his faithful partner Julì and, together, giving birth to his great project: the Great Works agency and the Locked brand. Crowds of parties with very defined concepts have marked the history of Great Works since then. Secret Garden, Live On Top or Modern Sound Culture are some examples. Later, larger projects such as the Fort Festival were also born from the hand of Bauza.
Labels like Innervisions and Dekmantel and artists like Dixon, Âme or Dj Tennis are the main influences for a Gerard Bauza capable of navigating through different electronic sub-genres that always present a common denominator: melody. Already in 2018, the good reception that Locked has had among the public in Barcelona has led Gerard to found the record label Locked Music, which aims to bring together multidisciplinary productions in its showcase, ranging from melodic techno to experimental pop or indie.

Bi&nka is an independent female producer and DJ from Luton, UK, specialising in house, tech, hip-hop, electronic, and experimental music. Her unique sound features spacey mellow undertones with strong melodies and basslines. Bi&nka has been featured on BBC Introducing, including mixes and artist residencies for the UK's best unsigned artists. She has been producing music from an early age with Pro DJ and has progressed to using Logic Pro. Each of her songs represents a story or a chapter of her life, hoping that people can relate to them. She has released music under Society Music Recordings, L.A-based Mojoheads Records, and Feelhype Sounds, and has collaborated with local and overseas artists. 

Fans of Banks & Steelz will appreciate the adventurous and trippy tones in Bi&nka’s music. The combination of shoegazey reverb with urban grit in the electronic mix creates a mellow, spacey soundscape for spoken word rap vocals and listeners to immerse themselves in.

Considering her single "Loves a Wall," it's no surprise that this independent Luton-based artist and producer has received airplay from BBC Introducing and built a loyal fan base with her indulgent, experimentally layered mixes.

Bi&nka is now venturing into DJing and her mixes encompass a variety of melodic house, minimal, house tech, techno, and deep house.

With her debut EP in the works, now is the perfect time to keep an eye on Bi&nka.
