Je suis dans le djing depuis très longtemps maintenant, en commençant  à l'âge de 12/13 ans avec les conscrits et le foyer rural (je parle des balloche), à une époque où la musique évolue. C'était le début des platines vinyles et l'arrivée de nouveaux styles musicaux (Hip-hop, Tekno, Ragga). A19 ans (et engagé dans l'armée), je suis tombé amoureux d'un style particulier, à un moment où je me suis recherché dans le mix (je m'ennuie a joué de la house et autre tekno du Nord). Et un beau jour un ami m'a fait écouter sur K7 (un 69db pour les anciens)... Je mît "play"... et se que j'écoutais aller TOTALEMENT transformer ma vie et devenir ma "CULTURE". Passionné par la Freetekno/Party. Cette musik tekno underground va devenir plus qu'un passe temps, à un point que cela fait 22 ans que je fais des teufs, j'ai même fait du live avec des machines (Korg, Roland, Yamaha, et autre), je joue avec un contrôleur Traktor et son logiciel (ces de la balle), et je me prépare à apprendre le MAO (Musique Assissté par Ordinateur), afin de boucler la boucle. I cross techno genres as the most important thing for me is don't plan the outcome.
I start with a blank slate & I come away with something I could never have imagined before I started.


I started playing bass in covers bands in the 80s on a local scene north of London.

86 saw my first rave - a warehouse party in Kings Cross London.
Synth funk & basslines was the sound.

Fast-forward to 89 & I found myself at Dungeons Hackney.
It was an unpretentious DIY culture & deranged.

I headed out to Hong Kong & Thailand for party madness before returning to the UK as Spiral Tribe were getting going.

Living near some of their inner circle, it didn't take long before we started Asylum Tekno Sound System. 
The whole local region was coming alive with DJ's & producers & Asylum Tekno was a group of DJ's & close friends who lived & breathed the scene together & we went on to host free parties right through the 90s.
No hangers-on, we were tight.

We quickly built a reputation after squatting empty mansions around the M25 motorway.
Legendary parties followed that people still talk about & we suddenly became a shadowy organisation that was talked about in Parliament.

This was a game-changer for Asylum Tekno. 
It opened new doors & closed others.

Kiss fm nights & DJ'ing with well known DJ's became normal by night. 
DJ's wanted to play on our system, which to be fair was dope.

During the day was different though.
Cops tapped my phone & were calling every week trying to infiltrate the parties.
They followed me & even my parents because the soundsystem was stored in their garage.

My parents neighbours even asked if we could move the soundsystem, as they were fed up with cops parking in the street & asking them questions.

This was us through the 90s and it accumulated with Asylum Tekno heading for Thailand 97/98, where the party went on for weeks.

Thailand was a whole chapter for Asylum, & coming back I got into writing tracks but found music technology back then too linear & limiting.
- It has only been in the last few years I feel free from the restraint of wires to write what I want & where I want to write it.

Some old tracks may see the light of day soon, & I am writing new material but that's my journey.
