Maqueo is a DJ and producer from Mexico City. His style is characterized by the use of dark and hypnotic sounds with a great groove in his DJ sets, live acts and productions. His musical career started at an early age, getting involved in Mexico City’s nightlife quickly. This has taken Maqueo to define his musical identity as a mix between downtempo and afro house, with a pinch of indie dance and dark disco. He’s an active member of the PBP Collective and has organized and conceptualized a variety of parties with some of the most important national DJ’s with BiEn MeXa. This has taken him to share the stage with artists such as Iñigo Vontier, Bufi / Theus Mago, Cabizbajo, Max Jones, and Andre VII.
