I'm Dying Inside

It's the Fourth ("IV") because this song has seen many permutations, and I've raided this pattern for bits of other tracks — like "Hope" on my last album. But it finally gets its due. I think it's about love or need or infatuation. Maybe even fear and admiration, but like, in a lightweight way.

Saturn IV

An evil eye,
taking you down from inside,
and a chance to find.
All promises pitch up and die.

The darkest days,
provide us an easy escape.
But, pain is safe,
it's better to stay in one place.

Save me if you must insist that I'm crazy.
Hesitating, im too lazy. 
to dig myself out of this hole.
Oh, show me a way through the doldrums,
then hold me, never again, to be lonely.
A spark still remains in my bones. 

As age increased, 
pictured in dramatic releif.
A statue that weeps,
with a wink and a turn of the cheek.

Depression 
Perhaps this can be a good lesson,
to not notice what you've been missing,
to separate mind from the soul.
