This work incarnates an apparent contradiction:

The musical genre "De profundis", derived from the Salm 130, is usually associated with religious thought. The instrument, electric guitar, is usually associated with atheistic or even demoniac ideologies related to rock and metal.

But there is no contradiction. An agnostic guitarist can be so disappointed with the world as to address any God from the depths of his soul. Those who are free of conflicts, go ahead and throw the first stone.

Mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam was composed in Bremen (Germany) on 30th January 2017, shortly after knowing about the death of Uwe Kolkmeyer, musician and caricaturist to whom this piano piece is dedicated in memoriam.

In Sufism exists an allegory (attributed to Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi) according to which the essences of the possible beings do exist in the darkness before being manifested by the divine light, as the motes of dust suspended in the air in a darken room don't become visible until they are lit by a light ray.

A certain optimistic atmosphere in this work may surprise, the opposite of what is usually associated with death. In my works the tonality of A major often expresses consolation.

Solare unifies in his person -and his esthetic- diverse tensions: contemporary music and tango argentino, South and North, composition and performance... The stylistic elements of his musical Oeuvre include a tendency to aphoristic, a quote of unbribable melancholy, a dose of irony and humor (related to the surrealistic absurd), and an aspiration towards sublimity. Solare considers that art music and light music are not irreconcilable extremes, but poles in a force field, and moves himself comfortably between both points with a very personal "musical bilingualism". In Solare's Work, these differences can -may- coexist without contradictions.
