"The Butterfly in Allegro" is the second single released for the upcoming debut album "First Movements Along A Curve". I started composing this piano piece on my birthday in July 2019 when a searching for inner-peace, and am really proud of the final structure of the song, particularly the dynamics between calmness or “andante” (mid-tempo, walking-pace) and quick/energetic segments (“allegro”). Also, there’s a beautiful music video by the super talented DC-based videographer Jillian Banner:

Lost In Radar

When I was a kid growing up in the 80's most of my friends and family were becoming fans of video games especially when Nintendo was released the Famicom in Japan in 1985 and later that same year they released it in the United States as Nintendo Entertainment System, commonly called "NES". 

While most of the people I knew were fans I didn't care for Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda or the other titles released. I remember my cousin Lloyd coming over to our house and I was in my bedroom while he was playing this game Castlevania. It was about a family of vampire slayers, the Belmonts and the main protagonist for this particular game was Simon Belmont for Castlevania 2: Belmont's Revenge. 

What caught my attention was the melodies was this game I couldn't concentrate drawing in my room because I had to see what he was playing because the music was so infectious. If it wasn't for the Castlevania franchise I would have never wanted to start playing video games and it was the music of this series that made me a fan. This is my homage to my favorite melody, Dwelling of Doom from Castlevania 2.

Brock Hewitt is the Founder & Lead Composer of Stories in Sound Studios, based in the Toronto area. Recently coming back to Canada from Los Angeles, where he was interning at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions, Brock’s goal is to create a family of composers that help filmmakers & creatives share their stories. As a composer, Brock's main focus is crafting heartfelt piano and ambient compositions that inspire a deep sense of Hope.

Exploring new sounds on the violin

Hanna Bienert started playing the violin as a child but made her first steps in Jazz and improvised Music as a teenager on the guitar. She instantly changed to Jazz-Violin when she heard Stephane Grappelli for the first time. Hanna then moved to Paris for 7 years to study Jazz-Violin with Didier Lockwood. 
She was part of several theater and danceproductions, arranging and composing for popmusic and shortfilms and played with different bands all over Europe and Overseas.
