Marcel Reix cues up a trio of uncompromising techno bangers for his ‘Stay Focused’ EP on Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s burgeoning EI8HT imprint.

The Venezuelan/Spanish DJ & producer has impressed with his releases for Kraftek and his own Fire & Fog Recordings, and further spreads his wings on this latest EP.

Three bottom end beauties all hit the spot; ‘Fast Lane’ is abundant with energy as its panel beating drums and hefty sub frequencies boldly charge forward.  On ‘Sporadic’, Reix creates a wall of sound as a rigorous and pacey workout is softened only by the spongy tones that furnish it melody, whilst ‘Stay Focused’ offers up discordant and kaleidoscopic hues over its pummeling rhythm.

Los Angeles-based NEKTER aims to take you for a sound-wave magic carpet ride while scratching different parts of your brain with her signature textures and noise. This emerging hypnotic female DJ has been working her way through the underground warehouse circuit, from Los Angeles and San Diego, to Las Vegas and Mexico City.

NEKTER gained her notoriety after winning the 2021 REFORM DJ Contest hosted by 6AM Group, Synthetik Minds and Dirty Epic, after previously cutting her teeth playing warehouses with the Berlin/LA based all-female hard techno collective Fallen Angel Techno. 

NEKTER aims to shake things up and represent the next generation of techno DJs while paying respectful homage to the legends who helped pave the way for the underground techno community.

On Saturday,  April 2, 2022 REFORM will be taking over Catch One’s bustling bi-level venue with a 4-room House + Techno lineup. Located on Pico Avenue near Downtown Los Angeles, Catch One originally opened in 1973 and was the longest-running black gay dance bar in the city. It now serves as one of LA’s premiere multi-purpose venues, making it an ideal space for REFORM to host 20+ Techno, House, and Experimental artists across four rooms.

Clawz (aka Anna Vaughan)  is an Neo-Acid Techno DJ and producer based in Los Angeles, California. With 12+ years of piano under her belt already Clawz traveled to Berlin to discover her true passion. After being in the presence of some of today's top techno DJs like Nina Kraviz, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos and more she came back to America and studied at Cross Fader Academy. 

DJing at street shuffle crew sessions Clawz quickly become known as an underground sensation, and after playing at a desert she became recognized for her talent. Since then Clawz has gone on to headline and perform at a number of events like Space Taco Tuesdays, Singularity LA, Relentless Beats Body Language Festival and Gold Rush Festival, Operandi Records, Techno Snobs AZ and Twisted Lines in Atlanta.

With music influences such as 999999999, Jacidorex, Charlotte de Witte, Charlie Sparks, Dax J, and I Hate Models, Clawz brings sounds of harder-edge techno with her signature 303 synthesizer dominating the room.
