MY PERFORMANCES

“I Wish I Knew How It Started” is a journey through Berlin’s nightlife - the highs, the chaos, the small moments that stay with you. Each track shows fragments of club culture: brief connections, shifting identities, and the pull between euphoria and emptiness. Based on my own experiences, the album blends emotion with hypnotic grooves. Released on Diffuse Reality Records.

I’m really happy to finally publish my first full album with 8 tracks and to do it with Diffuse Reality Records. Being able to share my productions with other people in the scene means the world to me. It’s a big step, and it just feels right😇

After the intro track “Before the Sun Rises”, the album moves into the transformation that happens in the darkness. “How the Night Changed Us” is about how Berlin can strip away who you thought you were. “Behind Closed Doors” and “Nameless Bodies” take you into the hidden, hedonistic spaces of the night, and everyone becomes a nameless part of the crowd.

But there’s also another side to it. In “The Weight of Silence”, you feel how fast these moments can disappear. “These Chains That Bind Us” is about the tension between wanting to stay in the club and the pull of reality waiting outside.

Finally, “Fragmented Identity” looks at the feeling of coming out of it all a bit different, a bit unsure of which parts of you are real.

This album is my way of putting some of those feelings into sound. I hope you enjoy listening to it🥹❤️

It's not the first time I hear how people find it unusual that I play techno. Probably 'cause I'm coming from a classical music background, I don't know. I've been always a guy who enjoyed escaping from normativity. It reflects in my personality, my clothes, and in the people who I get surrounded with. Standards don't interest me so I understand that if people would not hate me, it would be quite sad.

Playing in a club gives me an entirely new world of feelings compared to what I'm used to experiencing when I play in a concert hall with an orchestra or with my chamber music duo and I can't tell how much growth it gives me as a flute player.

Most of the people in the crowd are normally around my age. I guess we probably share a lot of the same challenges in life. We connect. After my sets, people always come to tell me how I made them feel. They give me love and support. Isn’t that amazing for an artist?

I used to be so concerned with who I was and who I wanted to be. I enjoy expressing all the pain I have inside through rhythm. It heals me somehow. Isn't that beautiful?

So, I've unleashed my inner producer for the first time and made a remix of Ayako Mori's track. I took the vocal melody they gave us and turned it into a sexy drum kit.

I sliced and diced the vocals until I had enough juicy samples to create a new beat. It was like playing a game of vocal Tetris, but with way cooler sound effects.

I tested it yesterday in my best friend's car and we were dancing like crazed chickens in no time, so I think it's ready!

Ayako Mori - So Cute!! (Juan Cernadas Remix)

Introducing "Bound to you", my debut release.

This single is my exploration of duality, inspired by the relationship with my partner and where I embrace the possibilities unlocked when two beings merge their energies and create a powerful synergy.

With two tracks at its core, "Bound to you" dives deep into the binary realm, where melodies and rhythms intertwine to reflect the essence of two souls and the transformative nature of partnership.

The single begins with "I've found you", an opener where binary rhythms connect, like two individuals discovering each other. Layers of textures gradually build, evoking the sparks of connection and the melding of shared experiences.

The heart of my first release lies in its title track, inspired by the relationship with my partner, the track encapsulates the dance of love, where two souls find understanding and empowerment in one another's presence. Taking cues from techno culture, this second track channels the essence of Berlin's club scene, where hints of fetishism interlace with a delicate balance between light and dark, creating a texture that mirrors the energy of sexual experiences.

Assault Sessions 037 - JUAN CERNADAS

Just made an exception and shared my set from the last XTROB party at Untertage. Normally, I like to keep it in the memories of those who were there in person, but this set felt too emotional not to share. 

This club holds so many memories and has been a place of growth for me. I played there 14 times and I can’t count how many things I learned about myself and about being in front of a crowd there. It makes me so sad that it’s closing its doors🥹

My latest track invites you to step into the heart of the night, where rhythm takes control.

Imagine yourself in the middle of the crowd, bathed in the glow of green lights and laser beams that cut through the darkness. The air is thick, and the smoke machine covers the room in haze, blurring the boundaries between reality and illusion.
The DJ is mixing an acid melody that weaves through the air, guiding your moves. With each rise and fall, the music lifts you higher, creating a tension that releases in euphoria.

As the kick reverberates through the speakers, you find yourself transported to a state of mind where time stands still. You close your eyes and in that moment, nothing else matters. You're fully connected with the here and now.

Acid Haze

The title, "METAMORPHOSIS" reflects a pivotal moment in my life. It’s a nod to the realization that the classical music path I once pursued with full dedication could not fulfill all my creative desires. This EP represents my journey of breaking away from those expectations and exploring the possibilities of electronic music.

As a professional flutist, this EP allowed me to merge two worlds that I mostly see as separate. By recording and incorporating extended techniques on the flute to create percussive and textural elements, I wanted to understand if these two worlds can coexist and even enhance each other in unexpected ways.

This project is deeply personal. It's about embracing change and having the courage to follow your true calling. Classical music taught me discipline and technique, but electronic music gives me the freedom to innovate and express myself fully. The sounds you hear in this EP are evidence of that transformation.

Recording a full library with extended techniques on the flute was both challenging and liberating. Techniques like overblowing, key clicks, tongue rams, and slaps were recorded to create percussive and ambient sounds. It’s an experimental process that mirrors my own experimental journey in music.

I hope this EP resonates with anyone who has felt confined by their circumstances or expectations. "METAMORPHOSIS" is a statement of liberation and the pursuit of authenticity. It's about listening to your inner voice, accepting that the dream you fought so hard for is maybe no longer your dream and having the courage to change your path, no matter how established it might seem.

“The Mirror’s Edge“ plays with the idea of a mirror as a boundary between reality and the alternate versions of myself.

I think of it as a point of convergence, an edge of a mirror where reality and illusion blend. It’s a dividing line where I am reflected but also distorted into other versions of myself that exist only in the mirror. This second track is the tension of standing on that boundary: the magnetism of who I am versus who I could become.

Through contrasting sound effects and flute rhythms, I reveal these two worlds, trying to get myself into a hypnotic state. In this state, the line between the real and imagined versions of myself begins to dissolve.

The Divided I

The Mirror's Edge

“The Divided I”, a conceptual title playing on the word "I" (self), explores the dual meaning of "I" as both the self and the act of self-identification.

It’s about how I feel caught between various versions of myself: the one I am, the one I have left behind, and the one I wish to be. This division is not always visible to others; however, it feels like a deep inner conflict.  The first track follows the battle between these different versions of myself, as if they’re fighting for dominance, yet none fully represents the whole of who I am.
I layered patterns from the same synthesizer, to create a sense of movement between the push and pull of my identity, offering a window into this internal struggle.

This one means a lot to me because after years of banging hard techno, I’ve been mixing things up, and I’ve shifted to a more chill, groovy vibe that still hits hard but with a different kind of energy. And yeah, change is cool. It’s all about evolving, right?

I also managed to slip in a few of my own released tracks during the set, and that felt AMAZING! 💥

This 3-deck set was recorded during my first time playing at OHM.

The night turned out to be something special. I love how the bar is part of the main room, so everyone hangs out together instead of splitting off. It makes the whole place feel alive.

Getting to know the Skin Contact team was also a big part of what made the night so great. They treated me perfectly from the moment I arrived. Warm, professional, and genuinely passionate about what they do. I’m really graaaaaateful to have met a crew like that, and I can honestly recommend this party 10000%!

Thanks to everyone who stayed until the end and danced with me through the closing.

I always ask for 3 decks in the club, but this time I wanted fewer layers and less room. I recorded this set at home and took it as a challenge to see how much I could squeeze out of 2 decks🥵

Expect 2 hours of techno mixing, jumping around hot cues, quick loads, me pushing the EQ as much as I can, and some faders up without pre-cueing. I want my CDJs to feel like an instrument, not just a player.
