Ayi Ayi - (w/ Ang Z. Z., Zwxlei & Laenz) an Asian femme/nb-run party series focused on providing a healing and creative space for our loved ones and communities. We raise funds for local organizations supporting Asian femme, LGBTQIA+, sex workers, and low-income immigrant demographics in the NY area.
 
Sluice - (w/ Laenz) a monthly radio show on the Lot with tagline: a cold splash of water to your face.

You are a unique amalgamation of past experiences and backgrounds that can't be recreated by anyone else. Trust in your own process and judgement as you put out stuff. There is no right answer but of course keep in mind the implications of your work, especially towards marginalized bodies.

Q. How would you describe yourself?
A. I’m a manual laborer... haha. I also DJ & organize shows, book artists to play in Japan, etc.
I just announced that I'm starting my own label. 
I hope to book artists in Japan again starting next year!

Q. How long have you been a part of the NY music scene?
A. I moved here in 2013, moved back to Japan for 2 years, and then came back.
I feel lucky to have met a lot of talented people over the years and hope to meet more!

Q. Tell us a little bit about this mix.
A. I included music that I've been into recently.
It's a mix of intensity, beauty, cuteness and various kinds of music but somehow it can all be tied together with this passing moment.

Q. How would you describe yourself?
A. I work in the nonprofit/philanthropy world primarily supporting underserved communities. I'm a pretty big goofball and always love diving deep in any subject that interests me. I'm really into cooking with my partner and big music fan of all sorts but, mostly a 2-step UKG, Jungle, and Breaks enthusiast. Guess you could say I'm also a fellow bassbin and soundsystem appreciator.

Q. How long have you been a part of the NY music scene?
A. I moved to NY from Boston about 4 years ago and have been DJing, collecting records, and producing since 2012. Mostly released individual tunes here and there but, am finally putting out an EP of my own with friends very very soon!

Q. Tell us a little bit about this mix.
A. I put this mix together based on the themes that inspired my forthcoming EP. The mix is inspired by sounds I loved hearing while night driving in the canyons with friends in LA; a blend of slower Breakbeat tunes that drive its way through its adjacent influences and ends with some Jungle. I wanted to keep it fun and emotionally engaging with long blends between the tracks, cruising through these bass centric genres that have been a major part of my music life.
