With a blend of electronic and acoustic elements + different rhythms and melodies I wanted to create a modern oriental atmosphere.  
A part of the melody is inspired by theme „Calıkusu" by the Turkish composer Esin Engin (1945-1997).

I wrote this for a 10th grade English project after reading 'To Kill A Mockingbird'. It was one of the first songs I ever wrote and the earliest song I remember how to play. Incidentally, I remember very little about the book at this point:/

The Green Man/Eileen Aroon is the new single from Irish singer-songwriter Brona McVittie, a hint of what’s to come from her forthcoming sophomore album which follows her January 2018 debut We are the Wildlife. 

The new single features Brona’s original composition (The Green Man) alongside a novel interpretation of traditional Irish ballad Eileen Aroon, showcasing a new collaboration with electronic duo Isan. Brona explains "both of these songs are inspired by the landscape. The Green Man literally grew out of the trees visible from my living room window. I could see his head of sycamore and his arms, branches of an ash tree. Eileen Aroon — composed by Carroll O’Daly around 1380 — espouses his love for Eleanor Kavanagh, daughter of the Leinster chieftain comparing her to a ‘flower of the hazel glade’”.

Scarborough Fair is a traditional English folk song. The author is unknown. Probably the best-known version today is the adaptation by Simon & Garfunkel, which first appeared in 1966 on the album Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme.
I wrote this German text in 1994.

English translation of my text:

Look at the fields in autumn.
The grain turns yellow, ready to mow.
Reminds me of days gone by.
It was beautiful, I think about it a lot.

And the vines with grapes so heavy.
Makes the wine that we loves so much
Come winemaker, because the work is done.
Raise your glass, because the festival begins.

Forests colorful, a colorful splendor.
Red, green, yellow, autumn made it.
Winter is coming soon and covering everything.
White the landscape, the trees heavy!
